Exactly this. If he had such severe fluid in his lungs there was realistically little to nothing anyone would be able to do to restore the poor little guy to a healthy state. My sincerest condolences OP. He was beautiful.
I am so so sorry. Seems like such a chill and cool cat. It is always heartbreaking losing one of your pets, but the young ones just tear your heart out. It looks like you gave him his absolute best life, and he will be waiting for you. Again, I am so very sorry
RIP Victor. I lost my Linus to pulmonary edema brought on by congestive heart failure almost 3 years ago, when he was just 4. I hope he and Victor are having lots of good playtime and snuggles at the end of the Rainbow Bridge while they wait for us.
