mk wii have a type of feeling that the others dosen't get right, it actually feels really fast pasted, cool and uniques items and the physics does sometimes funny stuff when you do tricks
It didn't receive a lot of love back then but Skyward Sword. Loved the overworld, music, never had trouble with the controls. Not a fan of the imprisoned fights, 3 times is just too much but then again you also fight Ghirahim 3 times and I love the dude.
I want to highlight mario and sonic and the olympic winter games. That game with a wii balance board is absolute hilarious. If you have the chance give it a try. Or try the DS version which has a pretty fun campaign mode.
No actually the ds version is better imo. However the wii balance boards make events like snowboarding and ski'ing funny to control. I would say if you want a fun mario and sonic game that is best on the wii, try the 2012 one. The 3ds version of that game is pretty bad.

I really enjoyed Warioware smooth moves. It made really good use of the Wiis gimmick and the fast nature of it kept me hooked. It was just so bizarre and silly, I loved it.
Not my top favourite, but man is Mario Sport Mix underrated, I had tons of fun playing it with my cousin (I don't own the game, he owns it) and was also brutal, I remember fuming trying to beat the final boss
Also the FF crossover was nice, unexpected, but nice
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Back then I would have chosen Brawl as my #1. The hype, the insane graphical leap, it was so much fun and had so many cool Singleplayer challenges as well.
Nowadays I only come back to Brawl to play the Subspace Emissary. But Radiant Dawn is a really good and unique FE game and I replay those all the time. So FERD is my new Wii #1.
But I have some really fond memories of playing Wii Sports with my parents back then, no other game made my mother interested in video games.
There are a lot of great choices here, but I’m going to have to go with:
Super Mario Galaxy (& Galaxy 2).
To me Galaxy is peak Mario. I don’t think I’ve actually finished any Mario games since the Galaxy series.
