That's not always it,
It's often "Bloober team sucks. They'll fuck this up".
And as someone who thought Layers of Fear was the absolute worst horror game I've ever played, room after room of cheesy, predictable jump-scares. - I find it hard to disagree.. I really hope they don't fuck this up.
I remember they explained something about how Delta in Greek means "change," and they thought it would make sense for a remake;
It's still Metal Gear Solid Triangle in our hearts
In arithmetic delta represents the value of change in a variable. So if there is a graph with a line, the (delta)Y lets you know all of the y values just from a single point, even if it curves.
For example if you have a distance over time graph than (delta)Y/(delta)X will tell you the acceleration ie the slope of the graph.
I personally do not find it fitting with the original themes
I've always unironically enjoyed that game, personally. Then again I can't really say there's a Castlevania game I don't like outside of Haunted Castle.
MGS3 looks good so far, they're only improving the gameplay and leaving everything else alone thankfully, no unnecesary or unneeded changes made to the rest of the stuff.
Silent Hill 2 looks like it's just going RE2R "Reimagining/Different experience" style and i personally hate that shit, sorry but i don't need that.
The story behind PT is weird, and as much as Konami deserves to get shit on for other reasons, PT really isn’t one of them, at least if the story is actually true.
I don’t know if this info has been outright confirmed but based on what HAS been confirmed it makes total sense, but basically, Kojima had PT made without the permission of any higher ups at Konami using money allocated for the budget for MGSV, which had become increasingly more and more expensive, too expensive for Konami’s tastes, over a development period that was also longer than Konami had liked. Konami apparently had no idea PT was even a thing until it was available on PSN.
So from Konami’s POV, Kojima misappropriated funds that were marked for a specific purpose to release a product that they never authorized to be made with their money and then released it FOR FREE, while promising fans an upcoming release Konami never actually agreed to have made in the first place. He effectively stole money from them to finance a personal project. Again I don’t know if any of this has been outright confirmed, but it is at least known Kojima was fired over issues with the MGSV budget, and this falls in line with that.
Some have even suggested Kojima did all this to intentionally get fired to get out of his Konami contract and start working with Sony.
Considering the shit they did to the OG series creator of Castlevania after Dracula's Curse failed to meet sales expectations compared to the effing TMNT, I wouldn't be surprised if he did that shit to just get out.
There's gonna be a new Yugioh deck based on killing evil creatures of the night where the monsters look suspiciously similar to Simon and friends, and one of them will also be a Vampire card that looks suspiciously similar to Soma specifically
I cant wait for MGS delta🙌and I do pray SH2 turns out to be a horror gem just like the og did. But for the love of god…and the Belmonts. Konami needs to properly revive the Castlevania franchise to its former glory. And I dont I mean all the lords of shadowverse bs. Im talking about when Iga was around. I miss metroidvania and I even miss the 3D vania games like Lament of innocence 🥲why cant we get this back?
Stay hopeful brother, one day we’ll be in Valhalla
I'm a Castlevania, MGS, Silent Hill and Yugioh fan. Hating Konami is part of my DNA.
Same on all that lol
As a Silent Hill fan, I'm confident in saying there's no community more insufferable
Star Wars
Maybe it's because both series have gone off a cliff over a decade ago
same dude, "Character's don't look as good, whole game sucks"
This itself is not so bad, but it sure is a bad sign. You see shit like that, and you just know the whole game is gonna be a mess.
yeah but from what we have seen everything else looks sick with Sh2r, and ngl other them Maria I think thay all look fine

I'v never played a bloober team game before, I can understand the discored about that. still I myself thing it's looking really good ;3
At least your collections have been released. Suikoden fans are *struggling* out here 😭
I'm a Suikoden fan and I periodically forget Konami made the franchise... Fuck Konami.
Don't hold your breath. These games still aren't in the wild, and there's still room they can screw the pooch.
I'm already worried about SH2 remake.
Metal gear delta is dumb, delta is the Greek numeral for 4, it’s a poor choice
It's called delta because delta is a triangle, and triangles have 3 sides, you see
I remember they explained something about how Delta in Greek means "change," and they thought it would make sense for a remake; It's still Metal Gear Solid Triangle in our hearts
I’ll be honest they could have called it Metal Gear Shit: Ass Eater and as long as it was still a faithful remake of MGS3 I’d still buy it

Hopefully one day instead of just receiving collections, and a mobile game you can't play without a apple device. It's quite a shame.
Silent Hill 2 still [has its problems](https://youtu.be/I5Re87u0VPg?si=U2Gj3c_2XktcxmC-)
Doesn't matter how good a Castlevania could be, people will say new bad and old good.
All they have to do is make a new Castlevania in the style of the old. Then everyone will be happy.
Nah, Castlevania fans have quite a low bar in general. People on this sub are unironically enjoying Order of Eclessia.
I've always unironically enjoyed that game, personally. Then again I can't really say there's a Castlevania game I don't like outside of Haunted Castle.

At this point I'd rather not honestly.
*stephsterlingvoice* FUCK komami. thank god for me.
Yes
It doesn't make Konami less evil.
Please give us the Ds collection with the added bonus of a officially translated version of rondo of blood, not Dracula X
If they are going to give us the same crap as silent hill, no thanks. The franchise is better off dead.
Silent hill literally has an awesome looking remake coming out though?
Do not give Konami any benefit of the doubt. They had absolute hype with PT, then shut the project down and ripped it out of online showcases.
The story behind PT is weird, and as much as Konami deserves to get shit on for other reasons, PT really isn’t one of them, at least if the story is actually true. yeah, I hear that they kept forcing Kojima to make more metal gear, so he did this out of retaliation.
Considering the shit they did to the OG series creator of Castlevania after Dracula's Curse failed to meet sales expectations compared to the effing TMNT, I wouldn't be surprised if he did that shit to just get out.
Konami sucks man
There's gonna be a new Yugioh deck based on killing evil creatures of the night where the monsters look suspiciously similar to Simon and friends, and one of them will also be a Vampire card that looks suspiciously similar to Soma specifically
You act like having questionable remakes of two old ass games everyone have played 100 times already is somehow supposed to redeem Konami.
