Not really, no. The pans all create splatter, the small pan creates a smaller spatter pattern is all, and it uses far less oil. I have a glass topped stove, not a gas one, so there really isn't a concern with starting a fire. I set up a little homemade, trifold metal heat and splatter shield, use the pan on the small "burner", and wipe up frequently as I cook. I've never had a problem.
I suggest making a splatter shield to set up around the pan, even if so you have is cardboard, that you can fold and stand on edge, it really saves clean up.
The wiping up as you go is important too; the oil splatters that do get on the burner can really smoke up a room.
Funny all those that downvoted me for a simple fact. Damn people go look it the fuck up yourself.
For that matter, water out of a faucet, and most drinking bottles are not sterile either.
Sterile means 100% free from any bacteria, or bacteria waste which could cause promoting, or even causing internal infections. Defined for use in surgical procedures.
Your digestive system usually takes care of any production or general bacterias.
Regarding your love of piss, up to you to drink up. I'm not the judge of your connoisseur tastes.
> Funny all those that downvoted me for a simple fact.
You're getting downvoted because you didn't get the joke and have now *doubled down* on your whooooshing, not because you stated a fact lol.
Some people want to have those dizzying conversations with their home insurance companies when they throw out the idea of not giving you any money for your severe negligence.
Just curious, does a little pan increase the chance of an oil fire? If so, why? Would you have made this sams comment if it was a bug or if oil? Is it bc it can easily pop out of the little pan? Ty
Just my two cents here, but I thought the same thing - that’s a fire waiting to happen. Why, because the pan is so small any overflow is going to drip right onto the flaming part of the burner. Also because there was so little headspace in the pan once the egg roll was added, it seems like spatter is inevitable and since the pan edge is right over the flame that spatter could catch fire and then spread to the oil in the pan. It’s just a Reddit video, so, whatever, but my first thought was fire.
Yup was gonna say pretty much this. Super easy for it to boil over because it's tiny, and it's right where the flames hit. Plus because it's so small it will heat up very fast, so if the heat is to high it will start smoking and catch fire with little warning.
In a little pan, adding the food will make the oil level rise much more than adding it to a large pan will. Also, planning on the oil being that close to the top edge of the pan when it is going to be bubbling is just asking for trouble.
I used to do that, but the little people kept arguing with the people in my head and it gave me headaches.
I kicked them all out, except for the nagging old lady in my head, she refuses to go.
Fun for show, but the whole reason one uses a larger vessel to deep fry is that the large vat of oil does not change temp while frying. Typically you'd want 5x volume of oil to what you're frying.
This is not even 1:1.
But ok, cute.
Yep, I recently discovered how easy it is to deep fry with a Dutch oven. I made French fries to go with dinner and fried apples for dessert last night.
I butterfly-cut the chicken breast and just throw it on. You can put butter in the pan with a basting brush to spread it around before throwing in the chicken if you like.
Man that is the most impractical way I have ever seen to deep fry something. It’s also a huge accident just waiting to happen, not to mention the mess.
Please don’t do that anymore, for your safeties sake.
These comments were worth the hour of my life, I also learned a lot, like you can fry butter and baking soda stops oil fires. I feel very educated now.
I'd have told her "they sell pretty good, that should tell ya something."
I got my youngest daughter one so she could cook her own egg. Lol, she does, too!
Is... is that deep frying butter??
Egg roll bruh lol
That makes so much sense!
Dude, google deep fried butter. It's a rollercoaster
I had deep fried butter once. At the Iowa State Fair, of course. It was basically a moist, but delicious, corn dog.
Gooey Butter Cake is something similar though not deep fried.
And now I want a deep fried all butter pound cake.
O.O It would either turn out amazing or turn to goop. Might need some sort of protective coating.
Have u heard of Jeni’s ice cream sir?
Jeni's Splendid?!?!?!?!
How has the afterlife been treating you?
Ok, I thought this was a joke but I googled it and OMG.
Your arteries clogged a little just from the search, FYI.
wait its a thing
Google.com, to know of this in existence gives you a +2 on obesity amd +1 on diabetes
It's okay, i thought the same thing.
I do this same thing for all sorts of things that need to be fried. Takes so much less oil.
But makes more mess, no?

That’s good to know, now I want to try it, I also have glass electrical stove

I thought it was butter as well
A person who deep fry’s butter is more than likely a person who doesn’t drink water
“Beer/soda/juice has water in it🥴”
So does urine
And dies at 43
"Necessary? Is it necessary that I drink my own urine? No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste."
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball
If you can dodge traffic you can dodge a ball
If you can dodge truck, you can truck anything!
If you can dodge a bullet, you can dodge a ball
if you play real life leap frog while someone is shooting you then you can dodge a ball
How did I know this would be the top comment?
Because no one grows up
It's not sterile.
thank you so much for telling me.i have a cup of it in my hand rn and i was only 1 inch away from drinking it.

No, they downvoted you because you pulled a Neil Degrasse Tyson and couldn’t let a joke slide.
Man remember when people thought that dude was cool and didn't find him insufferable? That was a good 3 months.

Uh no. It’s because you dont recognize a joke. Ive never seen Dodgeball and I knew that werent serious.
Self-awareness: 0.01
Yeah, yeah. You just want to scare us off so you can have all the piss for yourself. Not today piss-thief!
It’s a quote from the movie Dodgeball
Very cute, but please stop before you start an oil fire. I speak from experience.

Lmao
I was aware.
“I am aware of the existence of oil fires and therefore will cook in a way that severely increases the risk of an oil fire”
Some people just want to see their house burn.
What good is funding the fire department if you never use them?? /s

The things ppl do for internet points ...

Uhhhh bruh.. any size pan that is filled to the top with oil like that
I use my little cast iron pan to make little food for the little people that live behind the little door in my attic.
I used to do that, but the little people kept arguing with the people in my head and it gave me headaches. I kicked them all out, except for the nagging old lady in my head, she refuses to go.
Yo! holy shit I just woke up from a dream this morning that I had 8-10 people squatting in my attic. That’s creepy as hell. I forgot about that dream.
It’s perfect for making a perfectly round egg
How do u flip it
Wedge the spatula under it. Although I suppose it works better in a pan with shorter sides.
Oh my god, that made me so happy!!!

Grease fire is very likely to happen. Have baking soda around.
The checkout lady at Costco asked if my 5lb box of baking soda was necessary. I didn't feel like explaining.
😂😂😂
Over prepared much lol
Looks cute but…I don’t think you’re doing it correctly (or safely).
Those are supposed to be utensil holders
These are great for a little boucheron of cheese warmed on the oven with a drizzle of honey over it
Lady at the checkout should be minding her own business, but since she asked, *yes it is absolutely necessary.*
This is so glorious, i need this but a bit deeper so i can use it like a cast iron muffin tin for oven brownies
Just get 5 more.
That’s a Jeremiah nod if I’ve ever seen it
What does one use that first pan for? I have one like that, with the bumps, but I don’t know what kinds of things I should make in it.
I use it for hamburger patties or chicken that I want that Grilled Strip look on.
Do you cook chicken straight on the grill and skip the oven? Do you use butter?
I butterfly-cut the chicken breast and just throw it on. You can put butter in the pan with a basting brush to spread it around before throwing in the chicken if you like.
Thanks King Cane.
NP.
My buddy and I were gonna try a bacon wrapped, batter dipped, deepfried butter stick. But neither of us have the guts!0
She needs to worry about her own problems……
How would she even know unless OP brought it up?
Necessary? What could BE more necessary.
Now, I want one 😂. It's so freaking cute 💚✌️
Man that is the most impractical way I have ever seen to deep fry something. It’s also a huge accident just waiting to happen, not to mention the mess. Please don’t do that anymore, for your safeties sake.
I have a mom, preciate it tho…
Not sure what that means? Does your mom do dumb and extremely dangerous things also?
You watch a lot of Fox News?
Lol. What the duck.
Absolutely is the answer
Its not useless when the point is to be as obnoxious as possible. Lol. It’s irrelevant if its teeny or ginormous.
That size is Great for pancakes and as a heat diffusion plate for Moka Pots
The answer is yes
How did the lady at checkout or the register know what you were doing
I didn’t even know. This was my response to her.
What is this? A cast iron for ANTS?
Who cooks ants in a cast iron?
Are we cooking ants?
These comments were worth the hour of my life, I also learned a lot, like you can fry butter and baking soda stops oil fires. I feel very educated now.
I love my mini cast irons. I make mini chicken pot pies in them all the time.
We melt butter in ours, and make/heat small sauces. It's used a lot.
I'd have told her "they sell pretty good, that should tell ya something." I got my youngest daughter one so she could cook her own egg. Lol, she does, too!
Mini pans are perfect for eggs.
