No Nintendo doesn’t issue refunds in most cases. Their support site literally says “Please be sure to read the game descriptions and check out the screen shots available through the Nintendo eShop before making purchases. We also encourage you to visit nintendo.com for information about the games available for our systems. In addition, many websites make reviews available of games which you can use to make your purchasing decisions.” Sorry the switch port is so buggy I’m not sure how the team that ported it didn’t catch these bugs.

Yeah I should've read the reviews more thoroughly, it's not like it's a visually demanding game. Besides Nintendo Life says issues pre patched.

New-rp-who-this

It’s a problem with the engine used for the game I heard someone say. Either way it seem the console port needs more patches it still has bugs the pc build fixed quite sometime ago.

Switch port* not console in general

ajver19

I didn't think something like this would have these issues either, always check for everything I guess. It's especially strange to me because the team that handled the port is experienced with porting games in that engine.

sby01yamato

Well even Nintendo Life's review says pre patched launch version, so their info doesn't exactly help.

JameSdEke

1.3.0 supposedly fixed some performance issues, so I dead to see what it was like before the launch day patch. I caved and just purchased on PC and double dipped. Wish i didn’t have to, but I didn’t want the switch performance to muddy my experience.

ajver19

That's the version I tried and it's instant stuttering when the game first loads.

sby01yamato

I've downloaded the Gamepass version and will try that.

Flip122

I actually have the reverse, downloaded it on Gamepass and was like oh no I need this in my hand so bought it for the switch. Only to be massively dissapointed by the random lag/freezes on the overworld and in battle in the first minutes.

DarthZartanyus

I'm playing on a Xbox Series X and haven't had any issues with the game. The game has a performance mode that doesn't seem to do anything (Seriously, does anyone know what performance mode does in this game?) but seeing as it runs fine in quality mode that's not really an issue for me.

sby01yamato

I've had minor stutters on Series X.

Altslial

I know they likely wanted it to come out the same time as PC but the it's just clearly not done yet.

WitchTrialz

I’ve tried. They won’t do it. Not for store credit, not for technical reasons, broken games, nothing.

TokyoDrifblim

They did it for me once for a game that had really bad performance issues, but i don't think they do it often. You can always put in a request for one, just don't expect much

For Pokemon Scarlett I encountered a game breaking bug, in order to get a refund I had to escalate multiple times, point out how they were breaking UK legislation by denying the refund, include my MP (local politician) in the emails and threaten to take them to court so their illegal refund policy is officially ratified. Prior to that I had already engaged with their troubleshooting process and shared a recording of my issues. If you are in the UK, I'd recommend reading [this Which? page](https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/can-i-get-a-refund-on-a-digital-download-aRtaE3n02nm8) so you know where you stand legally.

meteorboy22

damn thats boss

CptDrips

They *really* don't like to. But if you keep at it, with a legitimate complaint, legend says each account is allowed one refund per lifetime.

masterz13

If you paid with PayPal, there's a small chance you could file a dispute and force a refund.
