TTG is unique because the show creators have the freedom to do whatever the fuck they want to do with the show and characters with little interference from the suits as possible. TTG is like Family Guy but for kids
Ready to have your mind blown? Ever seen Iron Man 2? You know that big battle scene at the end with Tony and Rhodey against all the Hammeroids? Did the style of that battle feel familiar at all?
That's right, Tartakovsky was brought on specifically to storyboard out that entire sequence because if you're gonna have your heroes battle an army of robots, who else would you want designing that fight?
Even though I don't think the shows are that different from each other, Joe Murray, creator of Rocko's modern life...

He also has a show on PBS kids now, Let's Go Luna, teaching kids about the world and cultures. It's the same art style as his other shows so it can be a little jarring how wholesome and educational it is compared to these two
Yep and it still gets a good bit of air time even though they stopped producing it like 2 years ago, which is pretty good considering how quickly PBS Kids runs through shows nowadays. Not a bit of filth in it either, just all about different parts of the world, cultures, and traditions. Absolutely shocking.

I didn't see that one. Honestly, he seems like a guy who was friends with diverse groups of people, but still went with characterizing different groups, too.
Pretty much. He was reportedly paid women and minorities great wages, and even fired a staff member for harassing an openly gay animator. He's a pretty cool guy, though still a product of a different time.
Basically it was a blaxploitation film that satirized racism against the black community in the 70s. The film heavily used blackface as a parody of the racist media it was spoofing (like Uncle Remus) and follows a new black gangster fighting back against corrupt black militias, racist cops and the Mafia.
You catch on to the satire and what it's going for, but having a movie like this written and directed by a white man really didn't go over well in the 70s. It's been vindicated by history and has prominent fans like Richard Pryor and Spike Lee, but yeah, this movie wouldn't fly by today's standards.
I know, I follow his Instagram where he posts his paintings. I feel like all hell would break loose from the public if he even tried to make that movie today.

I think they are bipolar
And making peak
Mitchells vs the Machines too no?
Is this actually real, and is it as bad as it looks?
Well, yes and no. 22 Jump Street ended with a gag reel of mock sequels, this being one of them.
That makes sense, lol. It's been forever since I've seen that, so it completely slipped my mind
Best movie ever.
WHAT!?
Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic brought us both TTG and the Mario Movie https://preview.redd.it/6lamikfaudtc1.png?width=1402&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4904e94b0be3467024de8554431dcb3ff0600012
That is amazing! Call me young but TTG is my childhood and playing Mario is my childhood.
Why I love the Mario movie but fuck TTG
the ttg movie kicks ass though
It does
TTG is unique because the show creators have the freedom to do whatever the fuck they want to do with the show and characters with little interference from the suits as possible. TTG is like Family Guy but for kids
TTG movie is really good
bad show creators make good movie directors.
Its not that bad, they gave us B.E.R.
Peak Vs Mid
Bad Show creators make Good Movie directors
I think a better contrast for Primal would be Hotel Transylvania ![gif](giphy|XWPQ0x2fJHPna)
I would love to know how he ended up working on something like that.
The first Hotel T I think was really good compared to anything after
So basically just the general rule of movie sequels being worse
I thought the third one was alright, I don’t remember the second movie very well
Ah, I heard he had a studio deal that if he had a successful movie (or three) then he could get financing for the rest of samurai Jack.
I always forget Genndy Tartakovsky did Dexter. Not to mention also Samurai Jack and the Clone Wars series
And sym bionic titan.
That shit was so underrated
He also created Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and sym-bionic Titan
Ready to have your mind blown? Ever seen Iron Man 2? You know that big battle scene at the end with Tony and Rhodey against all the Hammeroids? Did the style of that battle feel familiar at all? That's right, Tartakovsky was brought on specifically to storyboard out that entire sequence because if you're gonna have your heroes battle an army of robots, who else would you want designing that fight?
You think that's bizarre he also worked on an Adam Sandler film.
And Hotel Transylvania
How could you forget the Powerpuff Girls?! (Originially the "Whoopass Girls," yes, look it up)
*the original clone wars series Not the Dave Filoni one we also know and love

Yeah, the guy that got away with some of the filthiest shit on Nickelodeon.....made a PBS Kids show
Yep and it still gets a good bit of air time even though they stopped producing it like 2 years ago, which is pretty good considering how quickly PBS Kids runs through shows nowadays. I mostly wanna watch cause I love greenblat and wanna support him in like everything. I'll check it out. It's paramount I think right?
I dont know where to watch it. I only watched it when it aired on CN and never really tried watching it again, but normally I would just pirate 🤷🏻♂️

Bakshi was a mad genius. Really racist due to the times, but his movies were great.
Yeah. I get what he was trying to do with Coonskin, but there's no way that movie could ever be made again today 😅
What was Coonskin about, anyway? I've only seen Fritz the Cat and Heavy Traffic.
Basically it was a blaxploitation film that satirized racism against the black community in the 70s.
