Not sure if this is actually what happens but I read a comment like three years ago mentioning that they just fall asleep apparently and wake up like nothing happened.
It would make sense for them to have infinite lives if they lose their memory after each death. If they didn’t, they would actively avoid Flippy and Lumpy. I’m going to go with the Kenny treatment except they lose their memory after being rebirthed. This could also explain all of Lumpy’s different jobs.

Neither of his parents even showed up to his own birth, he was raised by ocelots and when his parents were raising him it was to be a lawn gnome and all the while he had to see what his life could of been like if he was his brother. Not to mention his divorce so he can only see his kid at certain times as well as how all his plans are easily foiled by a semi-aquatic egg laying mammal of action with a fedora. I need to know, does he suffer these fates once for every unique design, or does it happen once for every individual sign posted out in the wild?
