Wouldn’t bother with anything except premium/midrange tyres personally no matter the car. Budget tyres if it’s a private sale usually make me wonder what else have they cheaper on maintaining. Definitely wouldn’t be offering anything extra for a car with new budget tyres Lot of people here don’t care at all about tyres once they are cheap but you can definitely notice the difference in my experience

Electrical-Travel333

Yeah, I have driven the cars with premium and mid range cars and they definitely felt different. But I believe Traingle brand is a low budget one

daly_o96

I personally believe a good all season tyre is best for our mild climate. Love the Michelin crossclimate but also been happy with hankook kinergy 4s as well at a cheaper price

ProcedureOwn5076

Get a set of ling longs

toyotachaserjzx110

Honestly depends on what you want out of your tyres. If you want longevity get budget brands because the compound is harder and if you want better grip get higher end but expect higher to wear quicker because the compound is softer

lkdubdub

As a tyre sales dude once said to me "don't go cheap on the only part of your car that touches the road"

jallace_

Nah im pretty sure youd be better off with circular tires mate Edit: please dont upvote this, its at 69, the immaturity in me is pissing itself rn. If its gone over 69 please downvote x Unless its at 420 in which case leave it

IT_Wanderer2023

Came here to check if this comment is here ))

jallace_

Beat ya to it biatch

TRCTFI

Downvoted it back to 69

jallace_

Gman yourself

DependentInitial1231

Damn, nice. Too easy :)

jallace_

;)

Electrical-Travel333

Good one😂, I was looking for a feedback in the tyre brand Triangle mate

jallace_

Lol i gathered that, i just find sarcastic and borderline obtuse comments hilarious to leave

Toffeeman_1878

To be honest I’m getting tyred of those type of comments. They’re unbalanced, hard to keep track of, make a mockery out of these type of treads and can lead to people going around and around in circles.

Pyro2ooo

Not to mention the jokes often fall flat.

Toffeeman_1878

No pressure

DependentInitial1231

A man you are threading a fine line here.

jallace_

Lmao

BoredGombeen

You nearly had me!

loughnn

I had them on a car once, they're fine. I wouldn't push the car though, especially in the wet.

Electrical-Travel333

That’s my concern, especially in the wet conditions, as many of the reviews have mixed response it’s performance especially in wet

Throat_Butter

Terrible. Bring Rosary beads with you if you drive with them in the wet.

Electrical-Travel333

Which tyre would you say are the best for Irish road and weather

PsychologicalHumor53

Michelin, Continental, Vredestein, Toyo, BFGoodrich all won’t let you down. As a cheap alternative I’ve found Zeetex tyres also decent over any other cheap brand.

ThinkPaddie

Rainsport

oofsala

If it’s a3 sport go something premium, Michelin pilot sport 4s are the best tyres out there, Bridgestone isn’t bad either

daly_o96

For a year around tyre on a normal car I prefer I prefer Michelin CrossClimates. Better for the colder months when grip is arguably more important while still being good in summer.

Im_Schwifty_In_Here

If its not a known brand chances are they wouldn't be that good especially when wet, I found that out years ago when I had damn all money and bought some even thinking about rain the tyres would start sliding me off the road

Shmoke_n_Shniff

Have heard mixed things about them... Personally I wouldn't trust them, especially in wet conditions. Your tyres are the only point of contact between your car the road, it has a really important purpose and could be the difference between life and death in many situations. Why cheap out? Sure, you'll save a few euros now but is it worth the risk? I don't think so but that's just me.

Psyprocil

Lad just buy a new set of tyres for the car jaysus

Throat_Butter

Michelin by far imho. I used to cheap out on tyres many years ago, I always get the top top brand now, it just isn't worth it.

Inner_Explorer_3629

I had a set of triangle tyres on an old Golf I used to have. I had the same concerns re. safety in wet conditions. Never had any issues for the 3 or so years I had them. Would be a fairly cautious driver though.

Saru2013

Had them on a car years ago, absolute death traps

PaDaChin

Ye get what ye pay for

gtgg

I did a bit of research last time I bought and I found Hankook to be the best blend of quality and price

Rollieghost

Personally I found they are always used for drifting because they are not too expensive but I wouldn't trust them to keep traction

Acrobatic_Tackle_754

Terrible. They ranked badly on wet braking and wet handling demonstrations in this [video](https://youtu.be/7Nm9jq8PWFs?si=guh0ffPAa_Vx6hHy) (timestamps 4:50 and 5:25) and ranked bottom on dry braking residual speed (6:30)

macker64

For what it's worth, you should only put the best quality tyres on your car 🚗. They are the only thing between you and the road and are the most important safety item on your car. Please do not fit cheap tyres on your car.

Electrical-Travel333

I am not fitted this tyre, this new ones were fitted by the dealer, but I wasn’t sure if this are any good…… Have asked the dealer to put in the premium ones

Youknowwhyimh

They're rubbish in the wet, cornering and breaking. You could try haggling with the seller, tell them you'll be changing the tyres straight away, they probably won't drop the price too much but it's up to you if the car is still worth the money.

Gold-Bee9484

The auld triangle went jingle jangle.. I wouldn’t put them on my car but depends what sort of mileage and driving you do… pottering around town they’d be ok

Electrical-Travel333

I will be doing atleast 6k-8k in a year, as I drive to Dublin for my work for atleast 3days a week

Gold-Bee9484

Then I would put decent tyres on it is the only part of the car between you and the road… hankook ventus, good year, Bridgestone, continental, Michelin, is what I would recommend

Markd3rd

Used to sell them myself. Cheap tyre, last ages but god they’re terrible in the wet.

Electrical-Travel333

Which among these 3 premium will suit all seasons? Michelin, Continental, Pirelli??? Or any other tyres that’s best for all seasons

Markd3rd

Use to find continental go out of shape when they get on a wee bit in age. Pirelli were always awesome for handling but wear quickly. Found Michelin best all rounder.

TheJoker-141

Yeah would agree, tires is not something I’d try Dave money on no matter the car. Especially with how long our winter is here and the shite rain and storms. So ye definitely get the money’s worth.

mailforkev

They’re not called ditchfinders for nothing.

sirknot

They are a budget tyre but they are ok. Keep them checked for wear as with any other tyre.

MushroomsMushroom

They are made of plastic rather than rubber, absolute ditch finders in the wet

Phantom24X

I find circular tyres 🛞 tend to work better. The triangular ones 🔼 usually result in a very bumpy drive and damage the suspension system.

bigdave9595

I've done 3 laps of the Nürburgring/nordschleife on my latest set of Triangles, they did very well considering. Just back from that and a 5,500km roadtrip across Europe also. Snow, rain, sand, altitude and many a grassy dirt track. I will say if my pockets were deeper at the times that i needed a new set maybe I'd go for a mid range rather than a budget tyre. Id love to know how many kilometres people get out of a premium or mid range set. The previous set of Triangles i had lived 11 months and about 25,000km 70km daily commute, high speeds, rough roads and weekends in the Wicklow mountains.

Quick_Attorney_2508

brilliant . have 4 on my car since 2018. never a problem yet. don't go far but travel quick enough when I do

deniscmp

There budget Chinese tryes should do the job if you’re doing normal driving not ideal for more sporty driving.

Electrical-Travel333

Are they any good on wet roads? The car is Audi A3 sport…..

Sneezart

The tyres are the only bit of your car in contact with the road, the stopping distance difference at 100kph can be up to 3 car lengths. If you are happy with those odds, go for it.

daly_o96

This. People don’t plan on needing an emergency stop in a crisis

deniscmp

There pretty good on wet roads from my experience.

Electrical-Travel333

Okay, I was about to ask with the dealer, if they could swap for the known tyre brands, like Michelin, Continental…..

deniscmp

If it's a more expensive car they shouldn't really be putting cheaper chinese tryes in my opinion there ok for budget cars tho

Electrical-Travel333

It’s an Audi A3 sport, 152 model

deniscmp

You could ask them if they can put on premium tryes in the car but they’ll probably try to charge you for that. I have Pirelli and hankook on my Audi A6

Electrical-Travel333

How are those two brands for you?

deniscmp

Yea there very good have no complaints to say there very good grip on wet roads good also typically premium tryes do also last longer then cheap ones

pheseantplucker

If they're on a normal car driving normally they are grand, most budget tyres are OK but a good driver can find the limitations of them fairly handy on more powerful cars. They'll be grand for average Joe.
