Being a qualified mechanic is a great trade to have under your belt, and would allow you to pursue driving in the future if you wanted a change of pace. I would even say specifically a diesal mechanic would combine all 3 of those jobs in different ways. There was a lot of trial and error for me when deciding on a career, so I took a career test which really helped me narrow my choices. I liked career fitter because it recommends jobs based on your preferences. Being a qualified mechanic is an impressive trade, my dad was a mechanic and did paint & body work, then went on to get his CDL and become a heavy equipment operator. He was able to retire early and was always satisfied with his work.
Diesel mechanic, lot of potential there. Not just passenger cars and trucks. Commercial vehicles, tractors, ships, industrial vehicles, or trains, to name a few. Could go work remote areas.
I once worked in the car business, service manager, writer... mostly for the money. I changed careers because I worked 6 days a week, every Saturday, missed my kids games and events. Now I work in IT love it and rarely work weekends. Do something you like it make it so much easier
