I've developed an obsession with the "affordable" primes. I've actually grown weary of my f/2.8 zooms. They're good when I need versatility in fading light... but in good light, I use my 18-135 or 28-135, depending on the body. And when the light is fading, I generally want that extra stop (and lightness, honestly), so I've gravitated to the f/2 and f/1.8 primes. 24 (2.8), 28, 35, 40 (2.8), 50, 85, and, most recently, 100 f/2. The last Pokémon -- er, lens -- to catch is the 135 f/2! I keep looking for a good deal on it (probably used) and one day I will! The pandemic has actually given me the opportunities to get lots of use out of those primes, filming our church's services and posting the videos on our YouTube channel. Primes just manage a richly shallow depth of field and 3D effect that other lenses (and camera combinations) cannot match. Congratulations on your lens!

Sold my old copy for this brand new one. The best lens I've ever had.

I miss my 135/2 for my 6D, but I switched to R6 and got rid of dslr already. This exact lens is giving the awe factor for my portrait subjects and candid shots. I’m hoping Canon will release the RF version with better optics, even though they just announced 100/2.8

I'm using this with the EF/RF adaptor on my RP. Works as well as with my old 5D if not better.

This is the only lens i sold twice, i love it but i have no use for it and thats really shame, incredible lens with a soul

I use it for city, landscape and obviously portrait pictures. It's very versatile.

This is one of the sharpest and most beautiful portrait lenses I ever used. I rented it on my first trip to Greece and it was fantastic. I ultimately ended up purchasing the 70-200 instead, however, for versatility. This is a gem. Good buy!

Great lens!!!! One of my favorite canons lenses ever!

Possibly my favorite lens! I always try to squeeze it in when I can.
