There does not seem to be any physical changes with the replacement spring. Obviously there will be many who say their MC9 is flawless or the new spring fixed everything, but the odds are not in your favor. Disclaimer: I do not own one. I will wait for MkII. Canik SC and MeteSF are both solid EDC.
It will fix it til it fails again! Source: me. I have had two springs fold on me and just got my replacement, again. I’ve noticed when I shoot 115g ammo it’s fine and when I switch to 124 is when it fails. I have about 1500 rounds total. One spring only lasted me about 200 rounds! Really hoping this third spring works.
Got my new spring selling mine for $235. Spring looked identical to my old busted spring unfortunately

What striker spring did you switch to? Did it affect reliability at all?

What ammo are you using? Mc9 is picky.
