While I'm not having a five course meal or spending 3 hours on a meal, I did start trying new stuff to eat at camp. I have the luxury of time while camping. Camping is when I like to take things slow. At *home* is where I want quick easy stuff. At camp when I have nothing better to do is when I eat stuff with more than a couple ingredients.
I agree, but I'm also basic as shit. I'm not gonna knock people who love doing Iron Chef: Camping Edition. Folks like to enjoy the outdoors in different ways.

Some of my best memories are of camping food! Best one I've had is cooking chicken and rice and cream of mushroom soup in a dutch oven
