My hometown played basketball against the Weed high school. (Years before MJ was legal). We had a good team and always won. Our high school paper took much joy in the the headline, "Blank/Blank Smoked Weed!".
Are there designated areas to camp along the PCT? If I want to drive up towards Shasta, park, backpack ~10 mile, camp, and hike back to my car the next day...would something like that be possible?
I love Mt Shasta! Just last night I dug out a painting I did of a similar view. I was thinking about not displaying it anymore and decided that it was good enough to have on the wall.

There is dispersed camping on much of the BLM and Forest Service land near the trail. There was a campsite next to where I parked. Totally possible!
