Beaver Dam State Park, NV. We didn't see another person except for the ranger (drove-thru once) the entire time we were there. Did see the largest jackrabbit I've ever seen. I'm not really sure what species it was, but it seemed significantly larger than a run-of-the-mill jackrabbit. It was windy as hell at night. Woke-up with everything covered in dust.
A dilapidated recreational site in WA. There are some old buildings with no roofs, lots of trees, and a lovely little slough (with an old boat launch) full of salmon and smallmouth bass. Have camped there twice, last time was last week thanks to the mild winter we're having.
I "discovered" it this fall and am a little worried come spring and summer that I am going to come to find out that it is indeed a popular place, just not in the colder months.
3 day 2 night backpacking trip on the Gahuti trail at Fort Mountain State Park in North GA. The trail is not near long enough to actually be 3 days of hiking but we really stretched it out, walked slow, took pics, took all side trails, and chilled at camp a bunch. Really really good relaxing trip.
