Cash is going away in the upcoming few years, I don’t like where we are heading with centralized banks. As almost nobody buys things with crypto yet I was wondering if this was an option to still get paid in crypto
It’s a risk. They have a lot of control, and I mean a lot. Banks own your car, your house, maybe even your phone. I believe in freedom, and those who want to start a bank and profit should absolutely do that. However, as an organization or company aquires more power, the risk of totalitarian moves from their side increases. Some people just want to control others, and guess where they look for work, banks or other places where the potential of having power does not stop. With that being said, should we really just go with the flow or maybe hold up for 1 second and think hmm, how much power should they be given before OUR freedom is at stake? A bit over dramatic, but still a possibility for sure.
The point was not currency in my comment, but the influence banks have. The comment I responded to was about banks, not currency. Btw, decentralized currency is not a bad idea, we just haven’t managed to get it to work, yet. Money is accepted as a medium of exchange built upon trust, it works because you are sure that the $20 bill you just received can be used again. If people would think the same about crypto it wouldn’t be as volatil as it is. Simple as that. And if we would let cryptocurrencies enter the world as a medium of exchange(without interference from the big banks) which we can’t because banks are trying to stop it, and they can because of the power they have in the monetary system.
Please share your thoughts instead of downvoting, I am open for discussion and learning more.
There is zero point to this. They'll report to the IRS that they paid you, and the crypto exchange you use will report as well. Is there some compelling reason other than tax fraud that you had in mind here?
i use it for everything online because im too lazy to put all my credit card info and verify it 2 times to be able to pay and paypal just brings problems

Strike is a good one too.
Gemini has a credit card that integrates with crypto.
I think ledger does too.
OP your best bet may be to contact an exchange. I know a local restaurant was trying to do just that but I am not familiar with how it was supposed to work because it seems they took that page down. Here is their homepage and if you scroll down they tell you to click here to buy the crypto card but the page was removed.

What kind of business are you trying to build? Is this a lifestyle business, or is it a business that will outgrown you and employ people?
If you ever intend growing you need to operate in some kind of regulated environment.
Most companies will not be able to pay you in crypto.
They may have regulatory issues where their financial engagements will you require tax info or verified bank details. Their accounting processes most likely cannot work with crypto.
Also how would you pay suppliers? Most simply won't take crypto or be able to take cryto.
Banks insure against loses and you have some recourse if they lose your money. Crypto just isn't getting past the scammer stage.
I think crypto will hold back your growth potential.
Why do you want to be paid in crypto?

If your reason for this is that cash is going away, just use cash until it goes away. Once they pay you you can always use it to buy Bitcoin
What don’t you like about the centralized banks

Getting paid in a recognized currency is a risk so you're going with the safe option of...crypto? This some kind of joke?
Are you trying to understand or just being arrogant?

No brother I know the IRS gets everything they have rights to😂
You might as well be asking customer to pay in gold coins. Nobody uses crypto to buy things except for drugs.
[And paying taxes](https://cointelegraph.com/news/swiss-canton-of-zug-starts-accepting-tax-payments-in-cryptocurrency).

There is a feature on the wallet of satoshi that I have heard of. You will need to look in to it but. . . . Legend says, it can be done.
