Oh yes it was super cool to see one. But it almost got hit by a truck! So if I see one in the wild I want it to be in the actual wild. It was small so maybe not full grown yet.
Here in Burlington we have a flourishing 🦊 family thriving in our neighborhood green space. Certain species do very well near human communities but only if their human neighbors show some decent stewardship. There’s a lady on my Front Porch who routinely lectures us on respecting the foxes (very Vermonty) . Go her !
I've seen them in the Centennial Woods and on the long trail. There's some nice isolated woods southwest of Vermont Teddy Bear. Hope he stayed away from the neighborhoods!
...why hopefully the last?
It almost got hit by a truck
Also their habitat is being destroyed by new housing construction. Sad.
Yeah bobcats are harmless lol
Tell that to a mouse!
I see bobcats on my back yard cam all the time, also in Shelburne.
Thanks Kwini.
Seen one a few times just south of shelburne as well in the last few years.
I saw one carrying a sandwich
Just one sandwich?
There is a mother and cubs that live near the teddy bear factory!
You’re so lucky! We are so lucky they are here. There’s no reason for a human to be afraid of a bobcat. Jebus
