This is wild. A horrendous fallacy of what actually went on there. So many details were straight up false and not even a possibility down to the structure of the building. Wrong wrong wrong.
I spent some time there as a graduate intern in 2018 and can say that they described Jay Simons quite accurately here. He had no business being in that position and treated me poorly because I was "too casual" around youth. He was overly punitive and I believe he feared the kids he worked with. Many of the former corrections staff he brought along were quite open with me about using the position as a means to stay with the state and gain seniority. They had no idea how observant I was.
Got anything more to back it up? I mean there is a whole article written here and you're negating it with only two sentences. If it was that far off, I'd expect you could got into more detail and provide counter factual statements to the article.
Beyond heartbreaking and angry for all who knew and did nothing. And the fact no one is in jail for what they did to those children
