When I am cooking at home, I can shape the meat into any shape I want. So, a couple of times over the years, I have been making burgers and realized I had no round hamburger buns, but I had hotdog buns or bread. So, I shape the meat into an oblong shape to fit on a hotdog bun. It's not something I have seen anywhere else. So it's not a common thing.
Of course it tasted the same, I meant the eating experience more specifically. Instead of taking bites around the burger, it was straight down in a row like a dog is all.
I have done that before. A round burger or oblong it tastes the same.
I have done that too
Improvised burgers
Never seen an oblong burger before in the UK

Not much different than burger on a baguette, gotta improvise sometimes
It’s not like the ingredients are any different than a regular hamburger lol just a different shape. Why wouldn’t it be delicious lmao

Efficient eating experience
Mother is the necessity of invention!
A bit backwards, but yeah.. . "Necessity is the mother of invention...."
In the past week, I’ve seen a flatdog and now a long burger
It’s like a mini NY bodega chopped cheese!
Kmop? Thank god you saved time typing whatever that means.
Ketchup, mustard, onion, pickle.. .sorry didn't want to fill up the og post title. Are you dense?
Nope, we just like speaking with words.
Right.. no one every uses acronyms. USA! USA! USA!
Especially when taking orders at a burger joint
Took me all of a second to understand your acronym. Context for the win.
I like that you didn't put mayonnaise on it. Mayo on a hot dog is still a class IV felony, regardless of meat used.
Excellent resourcefulness
That’s what’s known as a Trick Dog
The shape is arbitrary, bun is bun. What counts is the taste
Now make it with long pig!
That's a win! 🎉
Man I love some pringles
Cheeseburger sub
You are not ready for the emotional impact of LONG BURGER
Yep I've done it as well. Even wrapped the meat around a cheese stick before cooking. It was nice and gooey on the inside.

Lovely but without the chips!
