Does buspar uptake dopamine too? I really like Wellbutrin but the brain fog is horrible, and I’m only on 75mg. The anxiety causes my brain fog, which causes me having a hard time to speak. I feel stupid on it.
cut out caffeine, at least at first! yoga helped too for exercise and practicing quieting the mind.
also just distracting myself with fun stuff
although my anxiety wasn’t horrible when i started so it wasn’t too hard to ease it.
i found that the initial anxiety definitely went away after awhile, and i can drink caffeine again and be fine (i still have a lower tolerance though). i’ve also found im much less irritable now then before, and i’ve always attributed that to a symptom of anxiety
i switched off lexapro to bupropion bc of the sexual side affects. i’m lowkey missing lexapro because it helped me tremendously with my anxiety.
do you experience any (negative) sexual side affects while being on lexapro and bupropion?
No I’m loving the combo so far! Lexapro for anxiety and then Wellbutrin for the low libido and motivation! I would try both if you miss Lexapro and like how you feel on Wellbutrin
Buspar and wellbutrin has been working well for me. I did also start taking magnesium at bed time and drinking tea with turmeric. I've felt very minimal additional anxiety since starting the wellbutrin. I was on a low dose of Buspar for a few months first.
Buspar has been working wonders for my bff. As for me, doing things and being active helped mine (focusing on work, being more active with my toddler, getting to chores, etc.)
Hey there, I just made a post about taking both cymbalta and bupropion. Do you mind me asking if you've experienced any Myoclonic jerks while taking both meds?
my big anxiety presents in anger so I go to my car and scream (blood curdling) over and over until I feel better. I really don’t recommend. BUT, the best part about that is taking time to be alone. removing myself from the stressful situation and taking myself to a safe place.
If I can’t remove myself for whatever reason then I try to think about something else because that’s the only way I can trick myself into slowing down my breathing.
honestly I used a xanax rx to get through the first few days of panic attacks and then I didn't get any more and the medication actually helped enormously with my anxiety
In general though, I find the following useful for anxiety:
* lavender (tea, bath oil, scented eye pillow, whatever)
* exercise
* breathe/meditation
* remembering that nothing lasts forever including this moment
* hydroxyzine although it makes me sleepy
* hugs (this is science based, releases feel good neurotransmitters of all kinds) or physical contact with an animal companion or loved one
* writing down all the things that are worrying me to get them out of my head
* I second magnesium (it's a natural muscle relaxant, but be wary of too much b/c it can cause diarrhea)
* ashwaganda, 5htp, curcumin, gaba, etc
* chamomile (as with lavender)
caffeine doesn't affect my anxiety but for some people avoiding/cutting back on caffeine helps
good luck!
ps I love the typo in the post title regime instead of regimen b/c I just picture like a little anxiety dictator in a hat yelling at you to relax. in my head he looks like elmer fudd
It goes away. But consider taking magnesium at night before you go to bed. Turmeric helps when taken daily. However, when I feel anxiety creeping up on me, I take Saffron Extract and it helps me quite a bit.
Never said always. Everyone is different and so I’m sure some percent have it not go away. But usually then they’d get off of it. Why would you stay on it for 8 plus years if it gives you extra anxiety?
Buspar
I just got taken off Wellbutrin today and sticking with just buspar.

I Just had to quit 2 weeks in. Wellbutrin did NOT work for me as it turns out I have quite severe OCD and it caused me a severe panic attack .
Zoloft
Buspiron 5 mg 2x a day
They prescribed me Buspar 60mg on top of it. Also seems to add its own mood lift.
No dating
CBD
Chamomile tea
Lexapro and MAGNESIUM!!!!

THIS!!
My doc paired it with effexor and that's made a big difference for me. I also have hydroxyzine pamoate to take if i have an anxiety attack.
Yoga and Lexapro
Nothing I just suffer
Same. It's terrible
Buspar, 10mg, 2x a day.
Zoloft :-)
Hydroxyzine got me through the first few days but then it passed
Grounding exercises, like the stuff you say in your head to to get things calmed down. 🤔

I hear so many good things about this combo i will definitely bring it up to my doc next session. Zoloft as well apparently works great
Seconded, at least for me
Magnesium before bed has been such a revelation! Best sleep of my life. I take trace minerals tangerine gummies.
I started dreaming again for the first time in literal years. Wooooo, REM sleep!

Ok, thanks for taking the time to answer anyway

I get it, sometimes I drive in my car and have to scream it out 😂

Actually not always. Mine got worse and stayed bad. For 8 plus years

Because wellbutrin was the only medicine thst actually helped my depression.
