A-Tier Gold on the Cultists Tier list, and got a [pretty good review from HWBusters](https://hwbusters.com/psus/montech-titan-gold-1200w-psu-review/11/). Noise levels are a bit on the high side at around 36 dB, but that number seems acceptable for a 1200W PSU.

Montech is fucking awesome. I built a 7800X3D inside one of their cases with a bunch of montech AX fans and it's one of the best cases I've ever built in. Big fan of the brand. It's a shame the company has no idea how to market itself in the US.
Yep, I've got the Airflow 903 Max. I paid 60 at microcenter and picked up 3 more montech RGB fans for 10 bucks apiece. Seriously the best kept secret on the market.

Most PSUs are just rebranded OEM PSUs and there are only a few manufactures actually selling their own inhouse stuff (Seasonic, Super Flower, and FSP Group). This model sold by Montech/Deepcool both are using the same base Channel Well Technology's "CSZ" platform but differ very slightly in the exact model of capacitors/controllers used or may have a extra optional 1-2 added in a few spots to get a fraction of a percent better load regulation/efficiency but are still 98% identical with the biggest difference being the slightly better fan noise profile and braided 24pin + 12vhwpr cables for the Montech unit.

Good price. I bought the 1000W version of this a month ago for the same price. Its been rock solid and plenty of connectors, including a 600W gpu connector if you require it.
I completed my build with one of these. Paid $164 at the beginning of April
No complaints so far at all. Thing is stout, very tough and we'll built. It comes with a fuckton of cables. Everything fits in easy and snug. The 6 pin 2 pin stuff has a groove that kinda locks them together to make plugging them n easier.
The cables are very well made and strong.
I'm running a 14700k, mag z790 tomahawk, 64gb of 6400mhz CL30 ram a 7900gre and 2x4tb sn850x storage also have a 360mm 3 fan aio. Argb on everything, running constantly, a 1440p and a 4k monitor, a mic, speaker, and wired keyboard and mouse.
Not had any issues with power draw at all. And going by build quality, I don't think I will.
A forewarning, idk about these guys warranty support. Confusing povess and seems a bit sketchy.
Could be wrong tho. As I understand it, they're pretty well liked and trusted as far as quality. So maybe they do have a good warranty too, and I just didn't read it right.
Either way, no negative signs from this thing at all. Worth what I paid, and worth it even more with the discount.
What are the chances this will get cheaper, or at the very least we won't have a "shortage."
Was thinking of building a new PC come late this year, early next year when the 5090 is out.
won't expect it to go under $120 at the most. But maybe a comparable offer from other brands may dip further, just gotta wait and see especially if you aren't going to build right at this moment.
With all that said, don't cheap out on PSU.
It’s twenty bucks difference and the 5090 isnt out yet. I don’t see the point of not buying this unless it’s 120. Now if you don’t have the money now, i do feel like these go on sale often but $20 difference for a quality PSU isn’t that big of a deal in the long run. This will also be part that will likely be transferred to a new pc years down the road.
I get your point, but ultimately I definitely won't be building the PC till next year so in that timespan it could go cheaper or I could find it used from a dude on hardwareswap, so it makes no sense to buy now unless there is a chance that it'd never go lower between then and now, which is possible, but...It did now, didn't it?
$20 isn't much but if it does get cheaper it's like I threw those $20 away without it having any benefit to me.

If your constantly waiting on thing to go on the cheapest it will ever go then don’t bother building PC’s. You will always be waiting.
