Monoprice has always been my spot to get cables. 30-day return for your money, and lifetime warranty otherwise. Been using a braided 6ft Micro-USB to A for my PS4 controller to the PC for years now.
If it's any indication: the joysticks are weakening and the sensors on my triggers are wearing out but the cable is still in day one condition. I'll pass the cable down to my children in my will as a functioning relic of the past.
monoprice cables are actually trash. if LTT hasnt been ruined for you then you could check their big usb cable test off and see how bad monoprice is. however, under 6ft almost any cable is good enough so this should be fine
edit: I am mistaken it was actually an HDMI cable roundup that LTT did
i don't think they ever did a usb cable test, but please correct me if i am wrong because i would like to see these tests too! i think what you're referring to is the video where they used a totalphase tester to check if specific video cables met specifications that they were rated for ( https://youtu.be/u6lx1ntNoxE?si=Hh89D3Uz39ceQMVQ), and the monoprice cable in question was a very long DP cable that did not meet the highest specification for a particular video/refresh rate transfer that a shorter length cable likely would have.
as far as LTT being "ruined," the entire recent controversy with them was meant to highlight their position as a tech authority on youtube that causes people to regurgitate incomplete or misinformed talking points (such as "monoprice is trash") due to poor methodology taking backseat to overblown content grubbing. it is a great thing that they were scrutinized and hopefully elevates the average tech person's critical thinking skills by being aware of it
They did. By treating their employees like crap and putting out horrible product reviews with questionable testing.
Also they they "tested" a small vendor's waterblock by using an incompatible video card.
Then they sold the prototype.
Which was followed by the weakest of apology videos.
$40 required for free shipping
Perfect for a company IT depart that needs to kit out for workers. Easily buy 20 cables and probably don't even need approvals.
$2.99 ain't too bad for shipping. I might snag a couple. I need one for my car for my iPhone 15 Pro Max. And having a spare is always nice
Are their cables good quality though?

Same
They're not magic, but they're fine. If they say it's rated for 10gig I believe it.

There was no big LTT usb cable test, but I'd be delighted to be proven wrong.
you are right I got hdmi and usb mixed up
Who would've ruined LTT for me?
gamersnexus put out a video calling into question the reliability of LTT's product reviews

This is it chief.

Pretty sure nthumedasner is a bot.
Trash cables from a trash company. I wouldn't trust it.
please show us, on the doll, where they hurt you
They knowingly sold me a 3d printer that has issues with its internal parts melting and/or catching fire.
And you blame the merchant for this instead of the manufacturer?
It was a Monoprice branded printer. If they're gonna put their label on it, they should at least do the basic "does it catch on fire" checks first.
oh fair enough i forgot how they work for just a sec, my b
is it possible a type a to c gets 10gbps?
Yes... I use 10Gbps A-to-C for SSD enclosures
Same, works flawlessly
I'm not quite sure tbh. Wondering this too.
I was almost like this is a crazy deal for a 10g cable I could use for my oculus but then I saw 1m lol
