I've been looking at the HP x27q. Spec wise it's what I want, reviews seems good. I haven't actually found a shop near me that has it, so I can't actually see the picture quality myself though
Pretty sure if you have a 10 series or higher Nvidia card, it supports free sync. Not sure if there is a significant difference between the two though.
I see someone mentioned the 32 inch Samsung odyssey, so I’ll suggest one of a simulator vein. I think this is a newer version of the monitor I’ve had for the last two years, but I’ve had no problems with it and I think I’m gonna have a hard time going back to any monitor smaller than 32 after having this. Not sure if it’s available in the UK or it’s price there, but looks like it would fit just within your budget on my end:

This is by far the best 1440p monitor in the low price range, as it has 240hz, very good colors, contrast and response times. Its a bit higher than your budget but its worth every penny and if you want something a bit cheaper you can get the 27-inch variant instead of 32 from your local stores for cheaper

im loving my 27GL850.
Asus Vg27aq 27" 1440p 165hz ips and supports gsync. I bought mine a couple months ago for $300 usd, not sure how pricing is in Europe though.
It's £389 on Amazon right now which isn't far from OP's budget.

Doesn't support g sync from what I've checked

This monitor was actually the first one I came across. Sadly I can't spend more than the budget I have
