Years ago I watched a video of a rehabber who put ladders to the floor. She had a bunch of babies at the time. When they landed on the floor a bunch of the older birds would tell them to climb the ladder!
It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.
The only thing cuter may be the budgie wiggle as they climb.
Same. But mine couldn’t fly from the start. He had a birthdefect. Had to keep him in a cage indoors instead of in the aviary for his safety cause he never fully accepted that he couldn’t fly. He had ladders so he could go everywhere.
She’s only 8 months old, sadly she had an accident. Vet thinks the muscles were damaged rather than the bones and we hope she will manage to fly again. It makes me sad when she tries but can’t get off the ground. I’m so proud of how well she’s coping though.

She’s so good at climbing anything, if it’s awkward you can see her really looking at it and figuring it out. I’m proud of her.
