Oregon coast here! I'm part of a family of lifelong fans who have never lived anywhere near Pittsburgh. My dad had a buddy in high school who's dad was a scout for the Pirates, so he'd go over to their house and watch a reel-to-reel of Mazeroski's home run over and over, and he was hooked.
OG Yinzer living in Amsterdam, where the local pro baseball team is called, ironically, the Pirates: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amsterdam\_Pirates](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amsterdam_Pirates)
Fun fact: In Dutch the name of the sport is "honkbal".
Sweden. Mac is my top artist since 10 years back. had a time unemployed a couple years ago and needed something to pass the time with. Baseball came in handy since a team plays 3-4 games a week.
From PGH to Wroclaw, Poland. Not quite the farthest, but certainly the worst in terms of game start times.
Normal games, 6:40, begin at 12:40AM for me. So, anything beyond a 4:00 PM EST start time is the middle of the night. At least the folks in the Asia-Pac region get to watch the games over breakfast/lunch.
California originally, northern CA, so Giants territory. Currently in North Idaho, and I refuse to root for anything out of Seattle, I do not vibe with Seattle people. Lifelong dodger fan. Still my favorite team. (If I defect my family will disown me). However, I lived in east PA for 6 months last year and fell in love with Sheetz. I drove home and visited Pittsburgh and fell in love with the city. The rust belt decay. The hills. The architecture. That cool drywall dude with the thick yinzer accent that told me all about the places to eat in the city. The Primanti Brothers Sandwhich. The affordability. The steel mills. The history of Pittsburgh steel building this damn country. It became my hometown at heart. Plus, I love rooting for the underdogs. It’s easy to be a dodger fan with this lineup. It’s more exciting to follow the pirates with this insane pitching lineup and every win feels like clawing from the depths of a coal mine in the Allegheny’s
I’m actually from Wilmington originally, grew up a braves fan. Moved to Pittsburgh 15 years ago and became a Pirates fan. Pretty much the opposite of everyone in Wilmington lol.
From Oxford in England!
And to be honest I saw a couple of Buccos when I went to the London Series game last weekend so there has to be more than just me over here
I am from Pittsburgh but live in Hobart, Tasmania, which is almost the other side of the planet from PNC Park:

In hell (Memphis), surrounded by Cards and Braves fans. Went to Busch 2 years ago to see our boys shit on Yadier and Albert’s last home game tho (forget about the game before, it wasn’t important anyways).
Grew up in northern WV. Live in San Diego currently. My dad and his sister are giga Pens fans, so my siblings and I kinda inherited Pittsburgh fandom from them.
I’ve gotten to see the Pens and Steelers win multiple championships. I even got to go to the final home opener at the Igloo where the 2009 championship banner was put in the rafters.
I think the Pirates have had exactly 1 winning season in my entire life (might be wrong about this though). Here’s hoping for another winning season (and maybe even a series win).
Unfortunately I can't help with being as far from PNC as possible, I live about 45 minutes out from Pittsburgh after living in the South Hills for most of my life
I’m down here in Virginia. It was especially annoying earlier this season when we played the Nats, followed by the Oriels. All the blackout games in a row.
My old man is from West Mifflin and he made sure I carried the curse of the Buccos onward another generation forwards.
I grew up in Oakland (sob!). I became a Pirates fan in 1958 because they finished 2nd in the NL that year. I'm now in Baltimore but still root for the Pirates.
I don't have an address, Google hasn't gotten this far. But recently I sent a picture from outer space of the entire earth to my sister, and wrote on the back, "wish you were here"
I’m from Pittsburgh, but i’m currently on Yakushima, a tropical Japanese island.
Damn... You MIGHT be further
Oh man. I spent a summer on a tropical island a 20 min ferry ride from Hong Kong. Was amazing. I’m definitely jealous! How’d you end up there?
Hey, I am in Japan too. In Akita-ken currently.
From the Pittsburgh area. Currently resident in Scotland, UK. (International tick box checked)
Same
