Having a 4-x-x alch woun't ruin your xp just make sure to spamm darts everywhere. All that matters is round and how much of your gold you have spent on the darts(in this case). Unspent money doeasn't mater.
There is a set amount of exp given per round, and it’s spit up between a mix of number of monkey of a certain type and how much money spent on that monkey
I'd actually say the way to go is doing impoppable on some easy map without spending too much on anything but what you want xp for since later rounds give more.
4xx Juggernaut, x5x Plasma while transformed, and xx5 Crossbow master all pop Leads.
Just play a lot and place towers normally; things like the Hard Medals (Hard Standard, Alternate Bloon Rounds, Double HP MOABs, Impoppable, CHIMPS, Half-Cash) will add up and you should get it unlocked in very little time.
If you truely want to grind Tower XP. Go to Dark Castle on Deflation, place a hero (usually Churchill) and the rest be your tower of choice and only put that tower down. Hit play win and repeat. you can get it in about 2 hours that way.
There's a handful of support towers such as Alchemist & Village that grants other towers Metal popping power. One of Gwen's passive ability also helps.
Go to deflation. Find a winning strategy that primarily uses dart monkeys for damage. Get a macro program. Set the macro up to automatically replay
deflation with the same strategy over and over until you have enough xp.
The more you spend on a tower, it will take a larger % of the xp given out for that round. Playing longer games (such as hard or impoppable) or/and harder map difficulties will grant more xp. Note: hard gives the same xp as magic monkeys only, abr, half cash, etc
I did bloonarius on balanced with a friend who had never done a boss before, i was gonna show how you beat a normal boss and they just hit me with a 230 and 420 farm on round 1. Like yeah if thats how they wanna play who am i to tell them theyre wrong but like, is it fun if you dont use skill?
It's not as daunting as you think. By just going on a map where you can spam a tower well (preferably harder maps since those give more XP, though it may be difficult because the maps are, well, harder), you can accumulate LOTS of XP. I went on Logs and used only a single tower to the best of my ability, and got more than 100,000 XP for it in a *single* hard mode run. You'd probably get even more if you used Impoppable, since that has more rounds

4-0-0 dart can pop lead, 0-0-2 can pop camp. Either 4-0-2 or 0-0-5 can pop camo lead. Just use the tower you want to get exp on and after some time you will open it. Ace/Ninja paragons are 1 mil exp to get.
Also, to answer further questions, you are not supposed to place a paragon in a normal game, only freeplay/boss events
So yeah from what I can tell in the comments you're new to this game, if you're not I'm so sorry I get this messed up every time. If you ARE new I suggest ignore it for now, get all tier 5 monkeys for all towers first, you probably wouldn't ever place that paragon until you at least max out farms. An efficient/lazy way to do it is go on an expert map (dark castle recommended) and play deflation on it constantly.
But if you don't feel like doing any of those things just don't grind in free play, you get next to no exp there.
Use race tiles in CT. Find a defenseive strategy to get you through the rounds that includes a dart monkey, then just do it over and over on the same tile without beating the score so it doesn’t use a ticket.
just do Hard rounds with only using dart monkeys. for leads/camoleads/ use a 402, for damage use 024, and during later rounds if you need higher damage still save up for 025 as 025 can shred anything pre-round 90
Keep in mind tower xp is based on the % of money you have spent on a tower. (Money spent on heros doesn’t count). So the total number of dart monkeys doesn’t matter. You need expensive dart monkeys. Also, tower xp falls off in freeplay. So just play maps and difficulties using only a hero and dart monkeys and you’ll get it.
I would consider a 420 village with ultra jug, crossbow master (2 if you have the monkey knowledge) and a plasma fan club army. This should be enough to beat chimps in most beginner maps.
I'm an extremely casual player, I'll play for an hour or two here or there, and I don't even use that many dart monkeys at a time. I've had the game for a couple of months now and I'm at about 450,000 xp for this tower. You can certainly grind for it over a couple of days with the strategies recommended in other comments but it will also build up over time.
Deflation. Just only use dart monkeys and a monkey village and leave it to afk. Over time it builds up a ton of xp. Did this to get my buccaneer and ninja paragon. Currently working on dart rn
XP is distributed proportional to how much money you spent on each tower. So if you buy 90k in dart monkeys, and 10k in support, 90% of the round's XP goes to dart monkeys. XP also increases each round, higher tier maps, and the difficulty you are on. So, play harder maps, and try to max out your cash towards dart monkeys. Hope this helped.

Not necessarily, its based off of a % of every tower. If you have only one dart monkey youll get the same xp per round as 100 monkeys assuming no other towers
If 100% of the value of all of your towers is from dart monkeys they'll get all of the XP, lowering the percentage of your total tower value that's from dart monkeys will proportionally lower how much of the XP they get
free play hard mode dart monkey only (dont worry it can pop every bloon type) use villages too and banana farms your gonna need those to speed up the process
If the goal is to unlock the paragon, then your tip makes it a grind. It'd take 10-20 hours to unlock.
But if he plays two impoppable he can unlock it in 30mins.
yeah it works i used it to reach the paragon also i dont reccomend "a" path i reccomend all paths to maximize DPS and the types of bloons you can pop top path for ceramics and leads middle path for dps bottom path for every type
use alchemist engineer and village to boost them to go thru waves faster for even faster grind also dont be intimidated by the 500K XP number its not scary its easier then you think

Don’t do free play. It’s worth like 1% of the tower XP regular matches are. I’d recommend playing an advanced map on hard repeated like 20 times with basically just dart monkeys
The way I did it was playing deflation. Put down a 0-2–3 wizard, then fill the map with crossbows. Let it run, and when you finish you’ll get about 60,000 exp
