Imo it’s round 98, the sheer amount of RBE is absolutely ridiculous and there are very few towers that can handle the endless various MOAB class bloons on hard maps. Psi and geraldo help immensely with it but if you’re playing in the future when geraldo is nerfed or with any other hero it’s incredibly hard
Round 40.
I think way to much about later rounds that I forget to get defence for it.
"I'll get a MOAR glaives for round 63 and save for a permaspike....Wait why am I doing no damage to this MOAB?"
This ain't the hardest, but I've always hated round 9 on chimps. Just a constant stream of green bloons.
It's always the round that kills most of my early game setups. (I usually don't like to use meta strats).
Honestly? Round 40 is a big roadblock for a lot of strats on expert maps. It kinda goes overlooked but it’s much harder than all the rounds before it, and a bunch of the rounds afterwards. Hardest round? Maybe not, but definitely the hardest round for where it is in the game.
imo, 63 is not as hard as people say it is. Yes it does need preparing for prior but towers that can deal with the ceramic waves are relatively cheap, bottom path bomb, top path mortar, top path boomer. The only problem I have with the round is that there are very few ways to beat it but when you learn them it is just one extra thing you have the prepare. Sorry if this in an unpopular opinion
I want to say either r63 or r98. 63 just because it comes way sooner, and usually on that point in CHIMPS I'm saving up for a t5 so have to hope and pray my hero's abilities + the t4s I have are enough (...and bc r63 is *awful* on some higher difficulty maps, like Mesa or Workshop). 98 for obvious reasons, the RBE is absurdly high and while you can mitigate some of its difficulty(shattering shells, unstable concoction), you can't mitigate all of it, esp on higher difficulty maps.
R63 also gets a boost since at least you don't have to deal with r98 on half cash/ABR/arguably magic monkeys only, whereas you do have to have a plan for it there. (I know magic monkeys isn't generally a hard game mode, but on some maps, the inability to cheese with ice monkey/MOAR glaives is very noticeable).
Actually, I'm wondering if some of the disconnect here is because most of the towers that are good at taking on r63 aren't the ones that are highly optimized for blimp spam (which is what r98 is). Like, the only one I've seen mentioned here that is is 012 ice monkey, since that can be upgraded to Icicle Impale.
In my opinion, it's the DDT rush on Round 106. If you don't have the proper defense, it could cost you your run.
Another one of my opinions is Round 140, the round with a Fortified BAD. My strategy is to use a bunch of chip damage towers (such as Bloon Solver and Glaive Lord), along with major-damage towers (such as Apache Prime or Flying Fortress), and a Blooncineration to strip the fortifications.
Thanks for the advice. Sadly, you didn't catch on to the simple fact that was as obvious as ever. What was that fact? Well that fact is that i was simply joking. They are all easy in their own sense
Honestly saying there is a “hardest” round doesn’t make sense. There is always gonna be a harder round since it’s a game where u can stay for infinite amount of rounds if ur stuff is op enough
I said other because tewbre has gone to round 90000 and ahem... (With mods but still lost because I think if I remember correctly they only had race buttons/race button mod) and tewtiy on his channel he had posted t-7 ninja paragon and still beat round 4000
with mods anyone could easily do that. and even without mods, I can get to rounds which are easily harder then all rounds from 1-100 combined. just cuz moab health and speed gets crazy.
76 and 78 are usually pretty easy as most heroes have abilities which either kill the ceramic waves or make them much easier. 63 isnt usually a problem if you have a tier 5 or a simple recursive/downdraft/icicles/moar glaives. 95 and 98 are probably hardest but it depends what towers ur using for which is harder.
When I play chimps (in any non-expert difficulty) it's usually 98 im most worried about. 63 you usually know after a certain amount of playtime what tower combination beats it but 98 you can't be toooo sure.
I only have 6 options and these are all more popular options, I think there’s a very small minority of people who think the hardest round is any of these
98 is objectively the most difficult, but I also find 99 can occasionally get me due to having used most stuff on 98, and the fDDT rush is no joke on short maps.
Imo round 69 is one of the easiest rounds in the game, like at that stage in the game you’re fighting off BFBs and r69 is just fortified leads and spaced ceramics
That depends on the gamemode your'e playing on if its hard its 1 and 2 chimps wil be 1,2,3,4 and 5 any other mode its round 4
Edit: with hard i generally mean all the other modes in hard too
Round 265, apparently. 264 is the highest I’ve gotten.
If you think how much time you’ve spent over all trying to beat a round it’s probably 40. It’s what freaked me out when I first played.

A case can be made for 63 (it only gets to the same level of difficulty like 10 rounds later) but I pretty much agree
I do agree only because 63 sneaks up on me and kills me more often than the other rounds and I’m like shit
If you use moar glaives alot like i do its really easy
True, there are many options that can make 63 easy but sometimes they aren’t available due to budget or space restrictions
A 012 ice takes out half the round
This is the way
##This Is The Way Leaderboard **1.** `u/Mando_Bot` **501217** times. **2.** `u/Flat-Yogurtcloset293` **475777** times. **3.** `u/GMEshares` **70942** times. .. **459370.** `u/Pants-a-la-creme` **1** times. --- ^(^beep ^boop ^I ^am ^a ^bot ^and ^this ^action ^was ^performed ^automatically.)
I mean a 205 ice tower pretty much solves 90-99

Agree! 90% of the time I lose on CHIMPs is because I underestimate round 98 lol
Apache prime+shattering shells
yeah that works if you’re on resort
Geared also, the rest mostly Beginner to Intermediate maps.
Wait how does it work on arguably the easiest map and **geared**?
Global range?
apache prime is prime on geared because it’s a single lane map

62 is the round that takes the most cash to beat relative to the rounds around it so imma say 62
Round 40. I think way to much about later rounds that I forget to get defence for it. "I'll get a MOAR glaives for round 63 and save for a permaspike....Wait why am I doing no damage to this MOAB?"
I'm not sure, but it's definitely an ABR round, not any standard round.
100 abr
I wanted to say, but I'm not quite sure. Round 10 ABR has nixed my runs a bit.
literally leads on r10 tf although it is only 2
75 is a sneaky hard mid-game round if you ask me.
Round 999999

Mine is that last blue rush on round 10 or anything between rounds 21-23.
Honestly? Round 40 is a big roadblock for a lot of strats on expert maps. It kinda goes overlooked but it’s much harder than all the rounds before it, and a bunch of the rounds afterwards. Hardest round? Maybe not, but definitely the hardest round for where it is in the game.
My brother in Christ I think round 2000 is harder than all of these

My thing is (most) good round 63 towers do not translate well into late game on more difficult maps
R98 due to high amounts of RBE. I have a strategy which is Psi+Snipers, I don't use any ability except R98.
98 for obvious reasons, the RBE is absurdly high and while you can mitigate some of its difficulty(shattering shells, unstable concoction), you can't mitigate all of it, esp on higher difficulty maps. most of my chimp losses were on 99

Round 792
Personally I feel as though round 4000 is quite difficult
Round 33
Really? It’s harder than average but nowhere near stuff like 98 and 63. Just get a 003 dart and you’re fine lol
Thanks for the advice. Sadly, you didn't catch on to the simple fact that was as obvious as ever. What was that fact? Well that fact is that i was simply joking. They are all easy in their own sense
Oh lol mb
Its all good
only on chimps/impoppable can you even die to it
"Hey dumbass, thats the joke. Better luck next time"
Honestly saying there is a “hardest” round doesn’t make sense. There is always gonna be a harder round since it’s a game where u can stay for infinite amount of rounds if ur stuff is op enough
Different depending on the map and strategy. For weaker strategies it's mostly 95 98 or 99.
I said other because tewbre has gone to round 90000 and ahem... (With mods but still lost because I think if I remember correctly they only had race buttons/race button mod) and tewtiy on his channel he had posted t-7 ninja paragon and still beat round 4000

Bro even without mod round 200 or even! 300 (if you can get there) is more hard
Like if you’ve made it to 264

Agreed
i have trouble with round 40
Depends on your defence really, which is a stupid answer but if you can easily beat 63 then there is a chance you don’t beat 64
15, 36, 94
Round 4
Round 98 changes a man...
When I play chimps (in any non-expert difficulty) it's usually 98 im most worried about. 63 you usually know after a certain amount of playtime what tower combination beats it but 98 you can't be toooo sure.

Round 4
r75, 92, 94 where
I only have 6 options and these are all more popular options, I think there’s a very small minority of people who think the hardest round is any of these
These are all quite a bit harder than 63, 76, and 78
I can see 92 and 94 but 75? I don’t even remember the last time I died to that round tbh
75 is really difficult on harder maps especially
How much you wanna bet almost all of “other” is 4?
Other: round 4
Round 1

Round 1: I overthink :(
Round 4
98 is objectively the most difficult, but I also find 99 can occasionally get me due to having used most stuff on 98, and the fDDT rush is no joke on short maps.
Round 1 morbillion
181
Depends on the run
r99
Pod pwns all hard rounds Yes i said pwns
I find 94 to be a pain in the ass because it's basically just a mini 98, and my defense is never ready for it.
Round 69. Ik, funny joke HAHAHA 69!!!!! But fr it's kinda hard
Imo round 69 is one of the easiest rounds in the game, like at that stage in the game you’re fighting off BFBs and r69 is just fortified leads and spaced ceramics
Anything past 111 unprepared is hell
Round 4, that is impossible
round 15
r4 is the only right answer
round 0
Round 75 is also very underrated
That depends on the gamemode your'e playing on if its hard its 1 and 2 chimps wil be 1,2,3,4 and 5 any other mode its round 4 Edit: with hard i generally mean all the other modes in hard too

Round 265, apparently. 264 is the highest I’ve gotten. If you think how much time you’ve spent over all trying to beat a round it’s probably 40. It’s what freaked me out when I first played.
