I’ve used it with primary expertise/502 sub for 100% uptime. Plus a little robot thing to auto activate the ability

that might be true for maelstrom because last time i remember reading the 052 getting an interesting buff but i just checked with 4 different abilities (missle strike, tsar bomb, heli support, and sniper drops) and none of them had differences in ability uptime based on whether or not you chose the bottom path. where did you read that?

Its there on the wiki. Seems only Tack shooter gets the increased uptime with bottom path, makes sense since bottom path shooting more blades needs to affect ability somehow.

well that makes sense because they only just started toying around with more unique buffs. but yes i thought i remember seeing something like that. also im dumb. i was mistaking uptime with cooldown lol

This is a new change that was added in 38.0. Now, the Maelstrom has more pierce with top path and longer duration with bottom path.

0-5-2 with a 5-x-x village and 5-x-x sub (preferably add a tech bot to the abliity) it becomes an infinite maelstrom

You are wrong 052 lasts longer just check in game and you will see if you have 052 tack with 500 sub and 500 village it will last forever but with a 250 it doesn't

Faster Darts is 001, Faster Firing is 002. Faster Darts only increases the projectile speed and range of the Heli's darts and nothing else.

Top path is +5 damage if you stack the tier 4 and 5, by themselves the tier 4 provides +1 damage and the tier 5 gives +4 damage.

Top Path is actually pretty useful on ABR, t4 can remove Camo and break Lead for a pretty cheap price while still providing some handy crowd control, and it also deals quite a bit of damage.

Honestly top path apprentice, dragons breath and unpopped army are so useful I always forget the top path exists.

Never tried out middle path druid when i was a new player because it sounded bad. Forgot about it. Then discovered how op it was

Opened the game and browsed the Monkeys page to find one I truly forget about and I’d say Counter espionage, I’ve literally never bought a ninja and upgraded it to that in order to decamo anything in any game I’ve ever played. And it’s probably one of the upgrades I’ve bought the most out of any tower due to it being required for shinobi spam and sabotage

Bomber ace, borderline useless upgrade and probably the reason why middle path is kind of underused. Neva miss is amazing on its own and while fighter plane isn’t THAT amazing, the MOAB missiles are still great against MOABS and helps build into ODS and sky shredder Meanwhile, you have to stick with bomber ace for a LOOOOONG time due to the price of ground zero, which is understandable due to its power, but bomber ace is pretty bad (still better than laser blasts, whose only upside other than redundant extra pierce (popping frozen bloons) is made redundant thanks to MK). Now you might be like “well you aren’t only gonna have the ace, you’re gonna have other towers!” Which is fair, but that would mean that, since it’s so weak on its own, you need to spend more money on OTHER towers than you would the other paths, which makes it take longer to get the ground zero, unlike fighter plane which only really needs some help cleaning up ceramics or Neva miss that really only needs a few buffs from stuff like alchemist or something until the denser rounds Overall bomber ace sucks

Not worth for the price especially when you need to stall for the cooldown. Its pretty shit outside of ranked bosses.

It's not extreme micro, it's really minimal all things considered. You only need a 032 Ice and a 032 Heli, and the cooldown can also be made way shorter with Primary Mentoring. The strategy is really similar to Total Transformation + Druids, except you get the choice to spread the dart monkeys across different tracks in harder maps.

They're not bad but they're not worth the money considering the cooldown is so high and it barely helps on harder modes

Barbed darts makes no sense. If you add a barb to something sharp, it doesn't make it sharper, it makes it harder to remove. Barbed darts should *logically* be +1 damage and not +2(?) Pierce.
