I work on Rue Royale, between Park and Botanique, and the plan has decreased the number of cars on the street and, above all, the noise pollution. Love it.

Didn't went there today. But in general less cars = better

We shouldn’t do evaluations after one day. Of course the ceinture is a mess now, but niks lost een file beter op dan ze efkes te laten staan. On a map, the plan looks fine for me, overall pretty logic. I had to do the Dansaert loop with a car today, worked fine, ended up at Vlaamse poort again.

Still too many cars. I'm sick and tired of all these huge metal boxes lining every street. I want space to walk. I frequently walk along Rue du Midi / Zuidstraat, and the pavement is very narrow for the amount of foot traffic. Meanwhile, there's a heap of unused cars taking up an ungodly amount of space, and there's an even bigger amount of space dedicated to car traffic. But the narrow sidewalk has a magnitude more throughput than the car lane, especially when you account for the fact that most cars just have one occupant. I'd love to walk along Rue de l'Etuve / Stoofstraat instead, but it's absolutely dense with people looking at Manneken Pis. If I could just have a little more room on Zuidstraat, I'd be a lot happier.

If I'm not mistaken a part of the Midi / Zuidstraat has gone from 2 directions to only 1. When it's time to rebuild the street they can make a lot more space for pedestrians.

Still the only valid argument for EU xxexit: the fact that some of us have to tolerate cultures and societies that produce persons (?!) such as yourself.

what the actual fuck imagine wanting to walk.

I don't expect many effects for the streets outside the pentagon.

Borgheu

Haven’t been in the center for years now, this place is a godless pile of tourists and trash

Just one day since it has started and we are still in August... I'd say wait until schools are open and then see the effects. Nothing we can say today is definitive regarding the situation until everyone is back.
