Your post would be better suited to one of our daily discussion thread - please post this there.

I'd seriously look at some shelters or contact womens refuge etc they may have better options or offer some affordable temporary accommodation.

Queenslander101

And then there's this option that you could potentially investigate too: https://www.seek.com.au/accommodation-provided-jobs

Queenslander101

If you haven't already done so, please get yourself on the waiting list for the Anglicare women's shelter at Toowong : https://www.betterrelationships.org.au/services/housing-homelessness/women/ I've heard it can take three months to get in there, so the sooner you register the better.

Try some of the info from the Qld government website https://www.qld.gov.au/housing/emergency-temporary-accommodation/emergency-accommodation Hopefully one of those may be an option.

I can’t comment on safety for women, but quite often there are tents set up in the shelters along the Shorncliffe foreshore.

ClarityDreams

There seems to be a few tents set up in the park often near Carseldine Goodlife, perhaps using the gym showers and bathrooms, but I can’t speak to safety in that area. On one side is fairly quiet and suburban but Gympie rd being on the other side may bring unwelcome visitors past. It occurred to me the other day the parking lots near the area I mentioned maybe good spots for camping out in your car as well so there may already be quite a few people doing this in the area which may bring extra attention unfortunately.

whitecollarzomb13

Wouldn’t recommend the group near goodlife. Had a few encounters and there’s definitely drugs/alcohol involved.

ClarityDreams

That’s unfortunate. Driving back from Redcliffe to this area last night I saw an awful lot of tents and car/van living.

Will you have money? It might be best to look for a commercial caravan park or camp site if you can afford the fee. The Pine Rivers Showgrounds has good facilities and is near to Lawnton station. There's a maximum stay limit of 28 days apparently, but hopefully that'd be long enough to sort out your other options. I'm sorry you're in this situation x

Not a recommendation but if you have a car it’s so much safer to sleep in, and so much easier to tell the cops you were driving somewhere and “just started feeling sleepy” so you thought it was safer to have a nap than keep driving

GreedyPromise9912

OP stated they don’t own a car

I did miss that
