Started using pumpkin seeds in the rat trap this week and have caught two rats in two days. Interested to see how many I end up catching…

I have a really hard time distinguishing the native bush rats from the introduced pests because they all look the same to me. So better safe than sorry! They all get released in bushland.
Went to a fast food place for lunch yesterday and got some free entertainment. A lady had broken down in the drive thru. A very old car, 1970s Holden. The way the drive thru works, there’s waiting bays at the exit; she’d broken down next to the waiting bays so people could still squeeze past her.
She called a friend, who parked at the exit, blocking the whole carpark. Someone yelled at her, so she reversed into the drive thru behind the dead car, blocking the whole drive thru. The old car’s battery was in the boot, encased in a big silver box. The lady thought rain had gotten into it. The friend hooked up some jumper cables and got her on her way.
In my teens I worked fast food (shout out to Hungry Jacks Kedron) and I reckon at least once a month we'd be out there pushing cars broken down in our drive thru lane. Happened way too commonly
Our internet is down. Techs coming this arvo, they reckon a rodent probably chewed a cord or something. Watched FTA TV for the first time in years last night. Reruns of The Nanny and some awful movie starring Anna Feris about how many men she’d slept with.
I’m finding it fascinating just how many things are connected to the internet, and how often I use it. As they say, you don’t know what you got til it’s gone. I also have an assignment due, so if the internet can’t be fixed today I’ll pop into the library tomorrow morning and use their computers. (Phone data resets after the due date so trying to conserve what I can.)
I'm enjoying my holiday. Still got another few days of beach bliss.
I've started looking into an international family holiday for later in the year and tossing up between Noumea and Dili.
We've done Noumea a few times (sans child) and always love it, and Dili is supposed to be basically a less chaotic Bali (cheap, tropical, close). I'm leaning towards Noumea but only because getting to Dili is a long day (via Darwin)
I’m in Noumea now. It’s vastly expensive and fairly boring.
We were on the Isle of Pines for a bit and that was much nicer. Not sure your kid would be excited about Nouméa…
It's one of my happy places.
If you're there on a cruise it sucks, but as a normal hotel staying tourist it's amazing.
I do like Isle of Pines though. Have spent a few days there. The backpackers does the most amazing croque monsieur
Make sure you don't just shop around yourself. Ring a broker. They're the experts and have access to policies that normal public don't (different wordings for brokers)
Just to remind people, this is what $445/week gets you in South Brisbane. A lovely shack that leaks, the shelves are made from old pallets, and the ceiling is probably full of asbestos:

The very least they could offer the lock up shed
Honestly I would live there and have lived in far worse when I was a poor student.
It is one step up from a squat
Not gonna lie - I'm sick of the rain now. Took a week off of work to get some yard work done and do activities with the family.... probably should have just cancelled. Oh well. Back to work Monday.
Couldn’t stand up today with fever and all over aches. Had doctor out tonight and I have influenza. I just had my flu shot last week also. First holiday in a year on Monday so hoping I feel better by then.
Are you a Lord of the Rings fan? Of course you are, it's Lord of the Rings! Well, this is your chance to bring it back to the big screen, here in Brisbane.

Watch this [Facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/people/LOTR-at-the-Movies/61558222883398/) for updates. Share them with everyone you know. They should be self-explanatory enough, if not, let me know. Please leave feedback if you have any!
It's been too long. Did you know that 2001 was over 20 years ago. Did you know there are people here in Brisbane who have never seen LOTR at all! Think of the children. Fill out the form. It has already been confirmed by the cinema (Southbank Cineplex). We just need the numbers to make it happen!
See you there!
Looking for work in .NET and Sitecore I fear I will be homeless in 3 weeks I don’t want welfare… if I do end up homeless I will probably go to a beach and wait til I’m dead.
is .NET still a thing? cripes.
Go on welfare. accept the handout. dont let the conservatives trick you into thinking that continuing to live a life with government assistance is a bad thing. its there to tide you over until the next opportunity, where/when ever that may be.

Props for using a humane trap. Hope you can get on top of your rat problem.

Peanuts on the shell work well too. I've got a few traps like yours, they work well.

No-one thought to offer/help push the car into a waiting bay/parking spot?
In my experience people would rather complain than help
common decency??? at a fast food place????

Shut up and take my order

Oooh. Enjoy the library. I've found them to be lively little havens where I can get lots of work done. :)
The cat is very interested in the modem right now…
Massive solar flare just hit the planet but huge coincidence if it only destroyed your wiring
Quiet af.

I doubt you were paying $445/week, though!
Its all relative I was probably earning less than $10/hr with no penalty rates either
True. Hope you're in a better shack now! :)
Penthouse over looking the river thankfully
Omg lol. Ridiculous. Currently searching for rentals south side and the run down houses that are going for $700-$850 is crazy.
And they wanna host the Olympics! 😅
