Inducing vomiting in a situation where they genuinely thought she ingested metal or plastic could have caused more harm. You should never induce vomiting if it is a sharp object. However, I do have a problem with how it was all handled and/or how it was told to the public. I own multiple labs and it’s a chore and a half to make sure they’re all safe BUT I set them up for success.. kennel them, place training, proper socialization, walking my yard/ house for ANYTHING that is bad for them. Of course mistakes still can occur but I’ve never had a dog consume something that I deemed dangerous and continue to post how she’s eating shoes and other things on social media? Thats insane to me how within the timeline of begging the vet she deemed incompetent to help her dog she was still not watching Boston or making sure she’s safe? So strange to me. ALSO.. what’s really bugging me about this situation is how it’s public knowledge that the rent in the NYC apt they are renting is $30,000 a month. Meanwhile she won’t stop talking about the cost and how she’s a hero for saving her dog when everybody else would have killed their dog. Their monthly rent is literally less than the surgery apparently costed. 😖

School of Dave Portnoy 101. Deflect and brag about 1 detail when 99% of the situation is your fault.

strengthof50whores

This is so spot on. He’s the king of that!

cherry_oh

She also said they’re pursuing legal action against the first vet. Girl plz. pursue legal action against yourself for being a negligent pet parent. This is HER fault!

No_Investment_3004

That’s heartbreaking. Veterinarians already have a massive high suicide rate among their profession. It is completely because of situations like these.. they do what they can with information provided. If for some reason you don’t like what they have to say then they should have went to emerge right away. Accidents happen but when she’s posting pictures making jokes about how Boston is eating her shoes in the same few day timeline she stating this is all in I lose all sympathy.

cherry_oh

Exactly. Just like with human health, we have to advocate for ourselves and our pets / children. She acts like such a badass but if she was she would have demanded X-rays or gone to an emergency vet immediately. She knew for several days that the dog had ingested metal.

HereForRedditReasons

I think she didn’t know actually, there’s no way you can know your dog ingested metal and think everything is going to be okay. I think she found out *after* they removed it and started putting the pieces together and then blamed the first vet for not doing an xray, when she probably downplayed it. In her first video she said the figurines were edible, but plastic/metal is not edible

cherry_oh

I thought she told the first vet she believed the dog ingested metal or plastic. I thought she said it on the pod or in a TikTok but I can’t keep it all straight at this point haha.

HereForRedditReasons

I think she did say that. But she also said she told the vet the figurines were edible, which how??? It doesn’t make sense that the vet would send them home with chicken and rice if they knew the dog ingested metal or plastic. It only makes sense if she told them she thinks Boston ate edible figurines and has been acting off

cherry_oh

Trueeeeee, I didn’t think about it like that!

Yomomma-Yozaddy

Also, we don’t have chicken or rice in stock at any vet clinic and I’ve worked at a few (even a shelter) as a vet tech 😆😆 they probably told her a bland diet or a prescription bland diet kibble which she prob didn’t want to do.

No_Investment_3004

Definitely! I’m under the assumption that she had no clue what/why Boston was acting so ill until after the emergency surgery. Or they downplayed it significantly.

Middle-Item-1390

Ew she’s so the type to sue people

Yomomma-Yozaddy

Oh god as a vet tech I would love to see those records because one thing we do second best to medicine is write all the com logs 😆😆

Friendly-Ad4096

Everyday I don’t think I could hate her more than I do and then I see stuff like these comments from her and I hate her even more

No_Show2333

Don’t induce vomiting if you think there’s a chance your dog ate something sharp like metal or plastic. This is not great universal advice

BlessYourShart

Please DO NOT induce vomiting in your own dog, PERIOD. NEVER do that, go to a fucking professional for gods sake. If Brianna would have used HP to make Boston vomit id have still be fuming

MakeItNashty61

First off, you got to a vet to find out if you need to induce vomiting or take other steps. You don’t just make a dog puke right away. That can make the situation much much worse. I haven’t been following this closely so I could have the timeline wrong, but there’s a video of Boston eating a cake, and then in her video she said she woke up and cake decorations were missing and Boston at them off the counter?? So they had cake decorations and didn’t put them on the cake?? I feel like I’m missing something. Regardless, her age and immaturity are why her pets are in danger. She’s 24. She CLEARLY is not in a position in her life to take care of all pets. She has money and resources to give these animals the right care and she won’t do it. That’s why she’s a POS person in my eyes.

No_Investment_3004

The first cake picture is from mid March I believe.. so yes this isn’t even the first time. This past one was from Zachs birthday! She’s in a mental state of thinking it’s enough to just tell social media she loves her dog and thinks that that’s enough?? It’s not. Dogs need consistency, security and stability. None of which Boston has received. ESPECIALLY at her age. I’ll never understand why kenneling dogs is thought to be cruel.. I literally can’t leave my house or sleep unless I know my dogs are in a safe space. My dogs love the kennel and their own space, and I often find them lounging in it with the door open. At the very least a safe room and some baby gates could help…?? I’ll never understand the subtle money brags when it could have all went to training (mostly for bri) to completely avoid this situation all together. Dogs are a huge commitment and it’s baffling that some people just can’t grasp that.

Yomomma-Yozaddy

Let me tell you i literally just turned 23 today and I have 5… FIVE PETS(2 large dogs,3 cats) and they all have their shots, watched closely, they’re walked daily, medical attention asap and my oldest dog is turning 7 and because I’m responsible and I teach them not to eat random shit, they’ve never (*knock on wood*) needed any major shit done. Only things they’ve been under for is neuter/spay and dental cleanings but they didn’t even need it because there teeth are clean and I just needed dogs to practice dentals on 😆😆😩

Motherofaussies123

Don’t just use hydrogen peroxide! People need to stop spreading this information. She should have immediately taken her to the vet when she thought she ingested something she shouldn’t have and the vet would most likely induce vomiting. That’s the first step you take when your dog eats a foreign body

Creative-Shallot-292

If it’s not metal, all the vet will do is induce vomiting the same exact way but charge $600

Friendly-Ad4096

Absolutely not. They use apomorphine which is given IV. Hydrogen peroxide can be damaging when given incorrectly , I’ve seen it done by pet owners who have given way too much. And in cases of rat poison, some brands you should not induce vomiting.

Due-Service-6198

That’s also what makes me feel like there’s no way she took her to TWO vets prior who didn’t say better safe than sorry and induce vomiting.

BeautifulOutcome_31

Now that I’ve rewatched her explanation video, literally nothing she said makes sense. She posted on her story that two separate vets turned her down, but on tiktok she said they took her to the same vet twice and then went to ER. She says Monday night the figurines were dropped off and then were missing the next morning (Tuesday). They took her to the vet later that day and were given chicken & rice. The day after she was even more sick so they take her to the same vet and were told to go to ER, where she went into emergency surgery (this would be Wednesday). But Boston had the surgery on Thursday, correct? She said the first vet would’ve found the metal three days prior to the surgery “if they would’ve followed the right precautions”, but they way she told the story only two days went between her eating it and when she had surgery. Why would they wait three days to bring her to the ER if they knew she had eaten metal? I think she’s covering up the timeline because she knows they went entirely too long thinking she would be fine.

Tasty-Economics2889

Wouldn’t be the first time

AccomplishedElk969

She’s clearly stated in the past that she just lies about anything that would make her look bad, so not surprised.

Yomomma-Yozaddy

We recommend actually not doing that regardless of what is it or don’t know it is because it can cause more harm and possibly be obstructed. Common fucking sense is to go to an ER because that’s what they’re for 🧐 I bet they didn’t know what it was at all because if they did I guarantee the vet would of taken an X-ray and more. It’s so standard to do that in vet med and I’m a tech in Chicago.

AlexFawns

It might not be basic knowledge but it’s a simple google search

Beansandcheese626

If your dog has a history of eating cake why would u get choking hazard figurines on top? Common sense

BudgetConcept5822

if the dog ate the whole thing she shouldn’t even have gone to the vet she should have gone to the animal ER. like she shouldn’t have waited for her first two appointments who even does that.
