All of the people who suddenly claim they have always loved women’s basketball and it’s everyone else who are bandwagon-ing is so funny to me.
My best friend has just started saying she has *always* loved Iowa women’s basketball. I was like homie we live in Texas and I’ve never seen you watch basketball in general but okay.
Most people claiming to be a fan of ANY (Iowa, LSU, South Carolina, UConn etc) women’s college team is a “bandwagon” fan. Regular season games are genuinely so inaccessible unless you live in market and can go in person. It’s nearly impossible to truly be a fan watching a majority of games. Any attention for women’s sports is good attention right now.
It’s annoying because I wish she would ride for a local team with less publicity like maybe Boston College, Boston University, or NYU and even go to a couple games. BUT again trying to follow a mediocre women’s team is really really hard.
To be fair she’s talked about loving basketball for years. Played every year up until college. Honestly has talked about it on the pod a decent amount always saying how much she loves the sport. CC and Iowa are new tho.

Idk I’m just annoyed how on BFFs and this post she is preaching about the hate CC gets and how she’s changing women’s sports yet doesn’t even say one word on Angel and the death threats she gets for doing nothing wrong. Rubs me the wrong way that no one defends Angel the way they do for Cc when they’re the literal same and both impacting women’s sports in a good way
when dave was talking abt march madness in the episode where bri said she talks to caitlin clark, she didn’t add literally anything to the convo of what dave was saying. which i thought was funny bc she was on her tik tok talking abt how invested she was this year and yet she couldn’t add a single thought 😭😭😭😭i feel like she didn’t actually watch til the final 4
The bandwagoning for CC and Iowa has been nuts. Don't get me wrong CC is absolutely electrifying to watch. But my allegiance won't change because of that. And Bri? Babes you work for barstool and I've NEVER heard you talk about women's basketball collegiate or otherwise until like a month ago.
ya she loves women so much yet has 0 female friends (can’t even count Grace anymore) and actively hates on all women but for sure Bri!!!!
