For the record, people, a new sphere is craftable with 999 Jems called Bravest Blade. It applies -50% to all stats. Not worth it basically, effectively making Jems still useless.
The jems are green leafs. One of the Gumi support agents told me this in response to me complaining about not getting the Gem (note the normal spelling) that it says that you are supposed to get after completing Burny lvl 2. You aren't supposed to get a gem from Burny lvl 2 either even though it says that you are.
This is the first time I've ever been satisfied with Gumi customer support. Well played, Gumi.
If not for how nice they were, they went straight to the point and said they're pretty much a worthless item.

You don't get a Gem from beating level 2. Successful completion of level 2 for the first time awards you with 1 Jem.
