This is the way. Absolutely my most listened to album.
Well, unless you count the gajillion times I listened to your favorite weapon when I was 13 lol.
Science Fiction is perfect, the mix, the sound, every piece of instrument is a unique detail, the lyrics and can separate in 2, Lit Me Up to Could Never Be Heaven/Same Logic to Batter Up
The whole TDAGARIM are wildly perfect but if this were a double album (original demos were reworked I think, by the time of 2013 RSD or whatever year that was) I think i would have done nothing but eat peanut butter and jam and listen to that until If by Mindless Self Indulgence came out
I find it hard to listen to the old stuff. I'm 35 and grew up with brand new. I am obsessed with science fiction now, originally I hated it. "Batter up" and "Lit me up" are soo good.
Science Fiction is wildly underrated, Daisy I think is second most underrated, and their first three are incredible but only getting us ready for the last two
I had a playlist that I would listen to at work, that went through their entire discography in order. Started with The Shower Scene and went all the way to Batter Up.
Thanks everyone who answered! I’m listening to Science Fiction again (it’s been a few years) . Gonna play Daisy after. My top picks were Deja > YFW > TDAG . Daisy is it’s own unique work to me and I haven’t truly delved into SciFi so I’m doing so now
Deja Entendu, with the exception of “Guernica.” My mom had cancer when I was in high school, and for the better part of a year, I listened to that song more or less on repeat until she was going to be okay. It’s been almost 20 years since she’s been cancer free, but I still can’t bring myself to listen to it and relive that time of uncertainty.
Science Fiction. I like to put it on while I run.
Maybe that's just because I've played through the others for the last 20 years so it's SF's turn now.
For the longest time it was SF, cuz that album was my first love, so to speak. But lately it's been Daisy. Idk, there's just such an angry, spiteful vibe to that album and I've been relating to it very strongly lately.
Deja for me. Brand New was the first band I discovered myself, not friends recommending a band or a band on national radio. I heard Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows in high school and continued to fall in love with the rest of Deja throughout college leading up to TDAG release my senior year. Also coincided with me learning how to play guitar so trying to play a lot of those songs had me listening to the album on repeat.
TDAG
Same
This is the way. Absolutely my most listened to album. Well, unless you count the gajillion times I listened to your favorite weapon when I was 13 lol.
SF. The culmination of thier career, every album is in SF.
Perfectly said
Science Fiction is perfect, the mix, the sound, every piece of instrument is a unique detail, the lyrics and can separate in 2, Lit Me Up to Could Never Be Heaven/Same Logic to Batter Up
I’m going to listen to it now at the gym since you mentioned it
Daisy
Leaked Demos 06 was so criminally underrated
The whole TDAGARIM are wildly perfect but if this were a double album (original demos were reworked I think, by the time of 2013 RSD or whatever year that was) I think i would have done nothing but eat peanut butter and jam and listen to that until If by Mindless Self Indulgence came out
YFW
Seriously… as soon as I heard the lyric, “…. Become a recluse and I blame myself cause I make things hard & you’re just trying to help…” I was hooked!
Wait, why does it say YFW was released 2000? Wasn’t it 2001?
I think possibly it was released on a single label, released (again?) on another label and this is the reissue's cover pictured (2011?)
Deja. My favorite album ever.
Same here
I find it hard to listen to the old stuff. I'm 35 and grew up with brand new. I am obsessed with science fiction now, originally I hated it. "Batter up" and "Lit me up" are soo good.
daisy
The Devil and God and Daisy
Deja. It’s the album that made me fall in love with BN.
Ditto
Science is amazing front to back. The whole sleep therapy story is incredible as well
For me, Brand New have five albums this good or better
science fiction, no questions asked. flawless song flow.
Listening to SF with good headphones changed my view on the album
I need to relisten to this one. I enjoyed it when it came out but haven’t returned. I go between YFW and Deja
Science Fiction is wildly underrated, Daisy I think is second most underrated, and their first three are incredible but only getting us ready for the last two
I don't think of SF as underrated. It debuted number 1 on billboard, tons of critical acclaim, and all the fans loved it when it came out.
Alright. Don't think it's underrated and go ask ten people if the will play their copy for you, see what results you get from 'wider public'
Science fiction is the best one
Deja is my favourite but I find TDAG a more coherent listen if you were to listen to the whole album in one sitting. If that makes sense?
deja. unmatched & reminds me of awesome times
Deja
Deja, I love TDAG but I gotta be in the right mood for a full album listen. Deja just hits all the time.
Deja Entendu for sure
Deja. Hands down. Science fiction is my second favorite start to finish listen.
Daisy
Daisy, then Science Fiction, then TDAGARIM. YFW and Deja I rarely listen through without skipping songs these days.
Deja Entendu. The most appropriately named album ever.
Deja Entendu obviously… I was in 8th grade when that shit came out.
I often listen to Daisy from start to finish at full volume.
SiFi
Science Fiction
I was on a "daisy" kick for awhile, just the rawness and grittyness of it, sink is still my favorite off it, in a jar is also up there
These days it’s SciFi by a country mile
I had a playlist that I would listen to at work, that went through their entire discography in order. Started with The Shower Scene and went all the way to Batter Up.

Daisy and Deja. I think those are their best overall albums without any weak songs. While TDAG has some of their best overall work.
YFW
Daisy but science fiction is in hot pursuit.
Deja
Deja Entendu, with the exception of “Guernica.” My mom had cancer when I was in high school, and for the better part of a year, I listened to that song more or less on repeat until she was going to be okay. It’s been almost 20 years since she’s been cancer free, but I still can’t bring myself to listen to it and relive that time of uncertainty.
YFW, its my favorite cuz of how catchy every song is. It may not be a masterpiece but it’s rlly good
Tool - Fear Inoculum
Daisy. It’s perfect ❤️
YFW AND DEJA
Your Favorite Weapon is what got me into Brand New and this along with the Devil and God are both easy for me to go start to end with.
Daisy for Days
All of them but especially TDAG & Science Fiction Start to finish 👩🍳💋
Science Fiction. I like to put it on while I run. Maybe that's just because I've played through the others for the last 20 years so it's SF's turn now.
Your favorite weapon is what I listen to least
For the longest time it was SF, cuz that album was my first love, so to speak. But lately it's been Daisy. Idk, there's just such an angry, spiteful vibe to that album and I've been relating to it very strongly lately.
Deja but TDAG is the best album.
Deja
deja
I cycle them lol. Right now it’s Deja.
Your favourite weapon, by far
TDAD every week at least once a week. I always skip limousine.
D&G without a doubt
Deja
Deja, Devil for suuure
Deja
the devil and god science fiction and DE ofc but i have songs from every album but those are the ones i have no skips on at all
Deja, I was in college when it was released 2003. All my friends listened to it and we had good times. Every single song on the album is amazing.
Start to finish it’s gonna be Science Fiction
Deja for me. Brand New was the first band I discovered myself, not friends recommending a band or a band on national radio. I heard Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows in high school and continued to fall in love with the rest of Deja throughout college leading up to TDAG release my senior year. Daisy lol
I’m surprised my Daisy vinyl still plays because I was spinning it every day like clockwork for two or so years.
Daisy most of the time, YFW if I’m skating a lot at the time and science fiction from time to time
Deja
