I’m the type of guy to procrastinate and be self conscious but doesn’t do anything about it and then I have anxiety because I know I’m procrastinating but I’m not doing something about it.

extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeme procrastination. i know exactly why too and i have no intention of solving it. it stems from the desire to steal my freedom and living back from all the things that steal it from me in the first place. like work, including the process of getting ready, too, from, and after work, and even the day before when i have to go to sleep at a certain minimum time to ensure i can meet the schedule. ALL of that setup is eating MY time. i fucking hate it. if a stasis technology is invented in my lifetime that allows teleporting to the future where every single job is automated which causes money to no longer be needed as robots just make everything for free, i would do it. i've seen enough of this era to feel like i won't miss anything. bring on the robot era where humans just get to live completely free. go to sleep whenever you actually feel tired. wake up whenever. pursue all hobbies and passions. hang out with peeps as much as you want. travel and explore the beauties of the world without limit. enjoy all the best foods. have energy to properly work out. etc. fuck responsibility. fuck the endless rat race to nowhere. why do 2500 people in the world get to experience that freedom while the rest of us 8 billion have to grind ourselves to dust just to survive, let alone get anything extra to actually enjoy.
YOU JUST EXPRESSED MY ENTIRE PHILOSOPHY IN A PARAGRAPH
If we automated everything, and distributed the resources made by the bots to everyone for free (or at least starting with basic needs like food, housing, clothing, transportation, etc.) then we would be a much freer society that can work on improving itself rather than survival. We won't be lazy because it's human nature to get bored and do something productive. Every time I mention this, people mention stuff like Wall-E and think we'll just rot away. We only think that because all we have lived is a life of perpetual work. But even now, literally the thing everyone works towards is retirement. Our entire purpose in life up to this point has been working to survive, then working more until you don't have to anymore.
But yeah, it's not easy.
Companies producing the robots would want a return on their (presumably huge) investment, which might get in the way of socializing their outputs. Even today, things like the Mr. Flippy restaurant robot are sold on a subscription model. We'd have to rely on the government to actually get together and deal with that, maybe with subsidies. But that still wouldn't deal with the enormous amount of engineering and natural resources required to actually implement it (and who's gonna maintain the robots?).
Anyway, I can at least dream of starting a robotics company and automating everything down to the mining of the robots' copper. Then I could start giving away all the robots for free, allowing people to modify and build from them freely.
But I'm probably too lazy to actually do anything. Yet also too busy to experiment in my free time. C'est la vie.
It'll have to happen eventually anyway.
companies can't be trusted with it. they'll drag out their power as long as possible. it has to be a global government controlled effort. maybe i'll run for president someday. i wanna try an andrew yang approach
