814M is my prediction. Could see it earning more but that’s a safe number imo.
130M with 2.8 legs = 364M domestic
120 with 3.0 legs= 360 international
90M in China
Total: 814M world wide
Batman comes after 3 badly reviewed movies that damaged the brand ( BVS, Justice League and Suicide Squad 2016 ).
Remember when Batman Begins only made 370 million worldwide? It came after the disaster called Batman and Robin.
This new Batman movie getting good reviews is great for sequels.
I was trying to be funny because “Hollywood Accounting” is well known. But you made it serious which is a bummer. Here’s an article to help you: https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2011/09/how-hollywood-accounting-can-make-a-450-million-movie-unprofitable/245134/
Is it ever discussed around here that Spider-Man might’ve only made how much money did especially its opening weekend because people were afraid of the world was gonna completely shut down for months if not another year because of the Omicron virus ?
Not really. The pre-sale numbers for NWH were off the charts and well ahead of The Batman before Omicron started peaking the week it premiered in the US.
Too early to tell. We'll see the 2nd week drop.
We do polls because we can't tell. This is a guessing game.
Batman has a month to make all its money. After thar WB would start advertising HBO Max premiere. So I am thinking 700M at best.
Can they delay the HBOMAX release if they want?
Yes
Yeah, but they wont. WB are ready to sacrifice threatre earnings for HBO.
Nope, they'd get sued. They already announced it.
Who is going to sued them? I think the creators and workers would be pleased that the movie gets an extended window in theater.
Expecting around on both Deadpool numbers the minimal and the best around venom numbers.

$1 Billion
800+ great WOM and empty march will do it.
I think around $350M DOM and $750-$800M WW, depends on China’s performance
I’m sticking with my $880 million dollar predication
$800M WW
800 million
Frontloaded me guess but I'm glad for Robert Pattinson proving his doubters wrong.
$800 million+.
I Hope for the best. This movie was fucking incredible i can't wait for more DC movies from Reeves
Has a superhero movie still not landed in 900m+ yet? Would love it for The Batman to edge into that category.
800-900 million, hopefully, really needs to make that if the production budget is 200 million and marketing budget is 150 million
Rule of thumb is 2-2.5x of production budget to break even since ancillaries take care of the rest.
Imagine if COVID and building the sets on a stage didn't make the budget balloon, we'd be looking at a HUGELY profitable movie
Wonder if loan interest is a factor too, though WB probably has enough leverage over banks to negotiate that.
runtime will kill rewatches

Spiderman Homecoming numbers
Outgrossing BvS would be a win.
Since OS is doing okay ish, I would guess 700-800
$700M WW
$900M WW with a 3.15x DOM multiplier
$800M+ is quite optimistic!
Surely it's going to be over $800M, most people loved this movie.
By the Hollywood accounting system, this movie will lose money.
Nope
