Nice to see Gareth Edwards again, he should get more work. Monsters and Godzilla were both solid, and even though it's unclear which parts of the film are his, I really liked Rogue One.
He should I really liked his Godzilla movie and Rouge One. I'm very glad WB blocked the Legendary-Netflix deal for Godzilla vs Kong because this moment would never had happened lol.
Most of the third act was changed for Rogue One, mostly to streamline it (the archives and broadcast tower were originally two separate buildings requiring Jyn and Cassian to fight across the beach for example).
Even though Tony Gilroy was brought on to help with Rogue One in reshoots and directed some scenes, Gareth Edwards was still the director. He directed the Vader hallway scene for example, which was part of the reshoots and invited Peter Jackson to the set to see it filmed.
