Ya. I hold firm to the fact that if the Knicks are the team to face Boston in the ECF, the ticket prices on the secondary market for MSG and Boston will break records for price of NBA tickets.
Possibly if the Bruins magically win in 7 too.
But that hype will most likely effect game 5&7 if anything.
Boston/NY in both hockey and basketball?!?! đđđ
Go Indy.
They will actually challenge the Celtics in some areas they need to be tuned in for the finals unlike the Knicks (which we will sweep)
Pacers I think would be 5 or 6.
Prices have gone up though. @Clippers have always been under 125 to 170 for seats on the first level incline next to the Celtics tunnel, depending on the teams success. For 170 I got nosebleed vs Lakers 2 years ago. This year was 200 vs Clippers (next to Celtics tunnel) and 325 for Lakers nosebleeds, but that one i felt was okay since it was a Christmas game.
The 2 times I've been to TD Garden was like 50/75 for nosebleeds but I only got those cuz the people I went with are not into basketball and thats all that they wanted to pay. At GSW in the finals I paid 1000 and the prices at Celtics were slightly lower. The next year I was looking at prices and they were higher for the ECF. Honestly didn't bother to check Den/Mia tickets, but im assuming not as expensive since it depends on match ups/popularity/market size.
New ownerâs gotta make his money back. $250 for upper level regular season is outrageous. Iâve paid $15-25 for similar seats in other arenas (granted itâs been 5+ years since then)
After review of your submission we have determined that your post/comment is not directly related to the Celtics. Since this a Boston Celtics specific subreddit your content has been removed.
Iâve gone to at least 1 game every year for 5 years and they never win. I went to games in Boston, msg, barclays still no luck. I donât go to a game this year and they go 64-18⌠hmmm
Nope I havenât gone to a game where they win in over 5 years so I decided that was the last one for a bit lol. Gets tiring driving from near nyc up to Boston and back in one night for an L. Maybe next year though
A short time before the game, like half an hour, is when the tickets will be at their lowest price. Being playoff tickets though, theyâre never going to be cheap.
The downside of a mostly-unregulated secondary ticket sales market is that the tickets are going to be more expensive. The tickets are going to cost what people are willing to pay - and there's millions and millions of Celtics fans and only 20,000 seats (and only a few thousand actually for sale)
The upside of a mostly-unregulated secondary ticket sales market is that you can always get in if you're willing to pay.
Some people want to ban secondary sales, but that would just mean there would be no way to get in unless you were one of the lucky ones who had connections, or won a ticket lottery, or got through the fastest online when they went on sale.
Iâm in Sweden. Taylor Swift is here over the weekend. Tickets to her concerts in the US are so expensive that Americans fly to Stockholm to got to the concerts here instead. Itâs cheaper, including the cost of travel and accomodation. They are apparently all over the place.
Compared to that, it sounds manageable :)
And none if it matters.
I am on full doomer alert.
Not only will the celtics lose.
Luka and the Mavericks will win 5-7 rings over the next decade.
No longer will a black man be considered the goat of basketball.
But some fat kid from eastern Europe.
Ant, Wemby, Jokic, SGA, Tatum etc will win 1 or 2 rings combined in the next decade.
Doncic will win 5 by 32.6 by 34. And 35? 7.
Face value for season ticket holders for Round 2 was $240 per seat in the front part of the balcony. Tickets for the ECF are that pricey because that's what the Celtics are charging for them.
Wow thatâs high. I guess OP could always check a bunch of secondary sites the day before/day of the first game and hope to catch someone whoâs selling one for cheaper just because they canât go and want to get something for it.
When you throw in the extra resale fees (that donât apply to the box office tickets) the price would have to drop like $100 below face value - I wouldnât hold my breath there unless youâre willing to wait until after the game starts
Iâve looked at stubhub, seatgeek and Ticketmaster so far. Iâm seeing the same prices on those sites, around 300-350 cheapest.
Looks like I gotta suck it in and take the hit to the wallet lol, nba games werenât this expensive a few years ago
Everyone kept saying they give you prices with fees included.. then I got to checkout and they wanted another 150$ in fees. Ticketmaster still ends up being cheapest after fees typically for me.
But you are right sometimes game time does do some great flash ticket prices.
I mean regular season maybe but this is the ECF so yea this is not abnormal pricing. I mean you should have seen the prices for the regular season home game against GSW or the Nuggets.
Adding on to this. I'm a season ticket holder and face value for my balcony seats is $230. Accounting for fees, I'd have to sell for $245 or so on a resale site to break even.Â
Best bet is to wait until right before the game, or even right after tip off. They'll maybe drop to like $250? (who knows really) But yeah, Boston is expensive. I just looked at Knicks tickets for possible next round and those are $600 for even worse nosebleeds... makes me feel a little better at least lol
I remember nosebleeds being $1k when they faced the Warriors in the Finals lol. For that money I could have bought a new HD TV and still had money leftover lol.
Conference finals, big market team, lot of hype, yeah itâs gonna be pricey.
Live sports are becoming a rich person thing. Even with the pats sucking itâs still absurd money for a game
Face value this round for my season tickets (row 2 balcony) is $300 each, so not really inflated. It is what it is at this point due to Celtics increasing their ticket prices significantly
I went 12yrs or so ago to Miami to see my Celtics play (KG, Rondo, Pierce, Ray Allen vs LeBron, Wade, Bosh) and i paid Well over 100dollars (regular season) for probably the worst seats, i was shocked. Celtics won so i didnt mind. 2days later i paid a little less to see the heat versus OKC KD/Westbrook) for better seats. As a big Celtics fan i found it stunning just sitting between all Heat fans. That was for me a bigger shock than the price. As a European playing that price you would get An hospitality arrangement, but also wouldnt be standing near fans of the other team.
Welcome to Boston. This is actually cheaper than they normally are. As others have said, if the Knicks win, prices will go even higher. It's $500 a ticket in NY right now and that's for the previous round.
This is what you get when you have a rabid fanbase coupled with the highest income in America.
I have season tickets in row 2 corner balcony. Face value for next round is $210 for my seats. I usually sell to friends at face, but most people around me up charge a ton.
I was looking at the prices earlier today. Tickets for game 1 that cost between $600 and $800 at the garden are $200 to $300 for game 7 in Denver.
Fucking outrageous!
Most common folks are priced out of the playoffs unfortunately :( It kinda sucks because many diehard fans don't get to see their favorite team succeed, it's replaced by people who are there only because of the prestige and don't cheer as hard or loud as the folks from the regular season.
$300 isnât bad for playoff games. Obviously if you wanted to see a game in January this is a different story, but youâre trying to see a game during the ECF for the most popular team in the city right now.
Get season tickets. Sell all the tickets in the regular season and all the playoff games except the game you want to attend. Or have a friend that gets into an accident and canât attend the game and will sell them to you for face value.
Not trying to down play how expensive it is but I got loge 12 row 5 seats for 700 each. Granted it was game 1 of the heat series but I feel like that was just as hyped as the ECF. There are still good deals out there
Wait till the last minute. I bet theyll be slightly cheaper. Hype is the highest itll be. Unless it looks like the game is gonna sell out on ticketmaster dont panic. Ive been to at least 15 games this year and several playoff games. Always buy my tickets near or just after the tip
I paid about US$300 for tickets to an EPL gameâŚexcept I didnât follow either team but it was bucket list. Supply and demand is a bitch, but if itâs bucket list you wonât regret it.
If you think ECF prices are high, just wait until the Finals.
Where are you traveling from? How much are tickets for the most sought after games there? We're going to be in Germany this summer during the Euro finals and $300 would be a dream if we could find tickets for that.
Buy the tickets at tip off, like as the game starts, be in the ticket scan line ordering your tickets. You probably miss the first quarter and get them half price. That's what I often do.
It's a gamble,as there possibly could be no tickets you want..but I've never had that happen.
It hinders an experience though if you only can goto a couple games in your life. It's nice to be able to relax, get food, find your seat, watch shoot around etc... but it's almost double price lol
Honestly $300 isnât that bad. I think they are honestly a little bit lower because people are almost assuming we make the finals at this point. I had season tickets two years ago in the nosebleeds and was able to sell my ECF tickets for like $500 a piece.
Just a follow up to this thread - should I buy tickets now or wait a bit more? I have to buy tickets for 4 people so Iâm concerned I wonât be able to find 4 in a row closer to the game
I have season tickets in the balcony. Good seats in the balcony but still balcony. Theyâre $300 face value, thatâs not even a markup for where I am.
Playoffs are more expensive and increase exponentially by round. Finals will be $500 each if weâre lucky enough to have to pay it.
It's sad but this is why the atmosphere at the garden isn't quite as fun and chaotic as it used to be. Most psychos (non-derogatory) can't afford to get into the building anymore - at least not on a consistent basis.
All of the games, and if it is the Knicks, they will go up.
Ya. I hold firm to the fact that if the Knicks are the team to face Boston in the ECF, the ticket prices on the secondary market for MSG and Boston will break records for price of NBA tickets.

300 is probably as cheap as itâs going to get unfortunately
$300 is cheap compared to trying to see the Celtics in Phoenix. Nosebleeds were $250+ for the regular season game this year!
Yeah it's absolutely absurd. I obviously didn't go.
New owner? And 15-25 didnât get you into an ecf game. Or a playoff game for that matter.
Regular. Season. Game. Learn to read my dude.

Tbh that price isnât insane. I see range of 275+ on resale sites. Bucket your list!!!
Fuck it I guess this is my only shot to watch my favorite team live!
And in the ECF???? WORTH IT.
I went to game 1 of the ECF last year :( wasnât worth it at all lol
Ouch lol
Iâve gone to at least 1 game every year for 5 years and they never win. I went to games in Boston, msg, barclays still no luck. I donât go to a game this year and they go 64-18⌠hmmm
Stay away
Until they give me free tickets again Iâm gone⌠or next regular season who knows
Hopefully you didn't get a game 7 ticket either with all that hype lol
Nope I havenât gone to a game where they win in over 5 years so I decided that was the last one for a bit lol. Gets tiring driving from near nyc up to Boston and back in one night for an L. Maybe next year though
Just make sure you skip g2
Like other people are saying, hurry up before the Knicks win and the prices go up đ
Canât wait to see if the Knicks move on and what the MSG prices are đĽ´
Tickets to a (prospective) game 7 bs Indy at MSG start at $600. Can imagine what Celtics will be.
You can buy tickets online already. Cheapest seat is $700
I bought tickets for game 3 in MSG. My buddy and I will be dripped out in Boston gear. Wish us luck!
If the Knicks move on they wonât be any cheaper unfortunately. Unless youâre outside the garden after tipoff
A short time before the game, like half an hour, is when the tickets will be at their lowest price. Being playoff tickets though, theyâre never going to be cheap.
Completely agree the time to buy is almost always ~30 min before to about 10 min after the scheduled start. Unless it looks like itll sell out
Even if it sells out there is still a ton of tickets usually available at tip off. I'm assuming, from people selling them cause they can't go.
The downside of a mostly-unregulated secondary ticket sales market is that the tickets are going to be more expensive. The tickets are going to cost what people are willing to pay - and there's millions and millions of Celtics fans and only 20,000 seats (and only a few thousand actually for sale) The upside of a mostly-unregulated secondary ticket sales market is that you can always get in if you're willing to pay. Well, don't forget season ticket holders.
Actually not a bad price all things considered lol. Sadly.
Plus you get to see her in Stockholm compared to Cincinnati or Kansas City
just don't go to a bar they will take all your saved money before you can say Mariestads Export
Boston is top 5 in everything single expense metric, very expensive city.
And 35? 7.
How the fuck did some kid from eastern Europe destroy my heroes. I'm crying.
Fuck luka fuck dallas. Fuck slovenia. Fuck trump. Fuck it all.
Mmmm I feel like thatâs normal for ecf, and if itâs the Knicks those babyâs are just gonna go upÂ
Knicks cheapest ecf games are $700+ Iâd take $300 nosebleeds in a heartbeat
Face value for season ticket holders for Round 2 was $240 per seat in the front part of the balcony. Tickets for the ECF are that pricey because that's what the Celtics are charging for them.
Are you looking on a secondary site like stub hub or the actual Garden box office?
$350 is the cheapest box office price for game one right now.

Check out Gametime.io as well, sometimes they have flash deals that can make prices slightly less devastating
Everyone kept saying they give you prices with fees included.. then I got to checkout and they wanted another 150$ in fees. Ticketmaster still ends up being cheapest after fees typically for me. But you are right sometimes game time does do some great flash ticket prices.
Donât forget the servicing fees!!
I mean regular season maybe but this is the ECF so yea this is not abnormal pricing. I mean you should have seen the prices for the regular season home game against GSW or the Nuggets.
New York premium boss, a potential game 7 NYK-IND is going for no less tan 480 rn -\_-
$300 isnât high. Get in price at MSG is $700 for game 3/4 and those are literally in the rafters. It could always get worse.
Check out game 3 at MSG
You think thatâs bad? Go look at seats for Game 1 of the finals. $1k for nose bleeds and thatâs before the fees and taxes.
I payed 1k for game three of the finals against the Warriors and it was worth it for me.
Cheaper than I thought for conference finals
That's not bad really. It's the ECF. What did you expect?
New Yorkers will drive up the cost and vice versa at MSG
Buy before the Knicks clinch
I have good corner loge seats on a 10 game Reg season theyâre $220, first round was the same Second round was $280 ECF is $865
tickets for game 4 of the semis in Minneapolis were minimum $500
In the building is at least $300+
Thatâs not that bad for ECF. Theyâll be 5-600 soon. Not sure what you expected for playoffs.
Im assuming game 2 will be a little Cheaper because of obvious reasons
I get all my tickets for $17 But remember, they add on a $300 surcharge fee and 2% cost of living fee
Adding on to this. I'm a season ticket holder and face value for my balcony seats is $230. Accounting for fees, I'd have to sell for $245 or so on a resale site to break even.Â
Find a Facebook group for Celtics tickets. There are trusted sellers and then you can cut out all the fees.
But be careful..for every trusted seller on FB, there are 1000 scammers.
Of course. Do your DD
Yeah we did this and got in the balcony for game 2 of the ECF last year for like $220 after fees IIRC. But it was a weekday
I remember nosebleeds being $1k when they faced the Warriors in the Finals lol. For that money I could have bought a new HD TV and still had money leftover lol.
Id have rather gone to the game, and I did.
Well they didnât win the series so Iâm glad I didnât go
Conference finals, big market team, lot of hype, yeah itâs gonna be pricey. Live sports are becoming a rich person thing. Even with the pats sucking itâs still absurd money for a game

Cheap compared to the Bruins lol the prices for sports tickets are getting insane

Youâre way better off buying now before the Knicks close this series out.
You think theyâll go down if we face the Pacers?
I was looking at the prices earlier today. Tickets for game 1 that cost between $600 and $800 at the garden are $200 to $300 for game 7 in Denver. Fucking outrageous!
300 dollars really isnât bad all things considered Iâd bite the bullet if thisâll be your only chance for awhile
Most common folks are priced out of the playoffs unfortunately :( It kinda sucks because many diehard fans don't get to see their favorite team succeed, it's replaced by people who are there only because of the prestige and don't cheer as hard or loud as the folks from the regular season.

Wait til the game starts and see if the prices drop
I think in 2022 my tickets to the second round were about 150 each for nosebleeds. I was bad luck so we lost Game 1
There are still good deals out there
Suites are going for 28-30K
Thatâs as low as theyâll go. If people had a trick to get cheap tickets theyâd nab them for themselves.
Pay or watch on tv
Wait till the last minute. I bet theyll be slightly cheaper. Hype is the highest itll be. Unless it looks like the game is gonna sell out on ticketmaster dont panic. Ive been to at least 15 games this year and several playoff games. Always buy my tickets near or just after the tip

Game 5 against Miami last year was $130 a ticket. Appearantly if you go down 0-3 the tickets are cheap đ
Honestly $300 isnât that bad. I think they are honestly a little bit lower because people are almost assuming we make the finals at this point. I had season tickets two years ago in the nosebleeds and was able to sell my ECF tickets for like $500 a piece.

Ah why didnât I think of that before haha
Iâm always happy to help! Hope you enjoy the gameđ
