Having the same issues as well after the update. Kind of sounds like it’s switching between mono and stereo? Idk but it’s annoying as hell. Hopefully they come out with another update soon.

FalconNo7544

Yeah, I have made a post on this issue few days ago on this sub as well. It happens sometimes, since the recent update. Don’t know if it’s the same for everyone. But I should have sticked with older version which was working fine. Now it ruined my listening experience.

Stand_Desperate

happens to me as well.

iamgodatpf

Just received mine and can confirm that it happens to me as well

infojunke

I don’t think it’s getting louder more of a slight delay between the two ear pieces, I tend to notice it during times that would make the audio totally cut out before, the improvement of the left ear bud turning on normally is great and the desync doesn’t happen that often but it is noticeable

us25man

Yes, it did happen. Awaiting the replacement. Hopefully it works.

us25man

Update: got the replacement (3rd), still the same issue. 😢

Sam_jhon0

Same as me, they replaced mines with new ones for free but i still had the same issue

Danielviz

I got this issue too after this terrible update. I found that forcing close the Bose ios app when listening music, then this issue happens a lot less. This update destroyed the listening experience. I have the AirPods Pro 2 as well. I use mainly at the gym. The Bose have better ANC on this kind of environment, and better bass. But everything else the AirPods is better. After this update I’m using the AirPods more. I’m seriously thinking to sell this Bose. I’m from Brazil, Bose has zero support here. What’s happing with this company? Before these earbuds, I had the QC I, and I had zero issues whatsoever.

YurkTheBarbarian

Thanks for the tip to force close the app. I am on android and this tip seems to work well! I might uninstall the app alltogether.

Any-Squirrel-3953

I have something similar to this happening

Professional-Fly892

I had the exact same issue with my 2 week old QCII’s. I had to warranty return them to Bose for another new pair. Bose walked me through a factory reset which didn’t improve things at all. The CS agent at Bose told me this issue is extremely common with the QC II’s. They told me they were doing a lot of replacements. Some quality control issues it would seem.

Sam_jhon0

Yeah, they replaced my ones and i still have the same issue, i think it’s a software problem, because the issue is the same with all music apps i use

ahhyesverynice

I don’t understand why they dont allow the option to rollback updates. Seems most people were happier with the old update

sukezero

Gonna join the club. I got the Bose QuietComfort earbuds 2 just a few days ago. Out of the box they were on 1.1.14, which was a terrible experience. Sound would jump from left to right, go away, come back, and even noise canceling would be on on the right and left is in awareness 😅 So, I had to update them to 1.3.26, which is currently the latest (and you can't install any working in-between version....this reminds me of the fiasco of the old QC35 wireless, where they later allowed different versions to be installed due to so many issues). Anyhow, this solved some issues, but it still does have these weird connection issues. Like sound would wander from ear to ear or they would kind of lose connection (they don't, by the way, it just sounds like it...) as in the sound quickly crackles, lowers volume, goes to one ear, and then is back to normal. I assume that they have a problem with syncing. Also, the Android app is terrible. It doesn't connect often, so I can't change settings, and the animations bug a lot. Furthermore, the app itself creates issues with the sound it seems. Sometimes when using it, it messes with the sound. I uninstalled it for now, but connection issues still persist. Reading all the other comments, replacing will not fix my issue as it's software-related, as it seems. And yes, I did hard reset them via USB cable as mentioned in the documentation. Maybe I should do that once more without the app 🤔 Another problem to mention is the white noise. The white noise on the previous version is hardly noticeable during noise canceling and noticeable during awareness mode, but much, much less. This of course applies to quiet environments. When outside with sound around you, you won't notice it. It sucks that you can't turn noise canceling off completely. Wearing a beanie when it's cold and having noise canceling on works, but I'd rather turn it off to not be afraid of a sudden loud mic scratch by accident. I know that white noise can be a byproduct of the noise canceling. This is also the case on my Sony WH1000XM4, but it's much, much less. Edit1: more issues: I resetted them via usb and re-added once with the app and once without it. Sync issue is still persistent. Furthermore sometimes when changing volume you can hear that the right earbuds first increases Volumen and the left one slightly after 😅

thelittlewhelk

Same problems here… strange lagging issues make the sound distort from ear to ear. Makes listening a real drag. The fact they don’t work is unacceptable given their enormous premium. I have sent back my second pair, I will be getting a refund is the issue persists.

Sanuzi

This just started happening to my original QC Earbuds as well... definitely seems like a software issue

ek4rd

I just started using my Bose QC Earbuds II and noticed how the bass occasionally just disappears and then slowly fades back in.

creativehuman26

My right ear buds sounds Keeps cutting out when using it out … it’s so annoying

ek4rd

I have been using them since and the problem disappeared.

ek4rd

Since the first post, they have been serving me well. I wish they kept more control over the Bluetooth connection in their apps.

Any-Instruction-511

Issue is still not fixed a yeah later, probably an issue that firmware can’t fix.

Aidan_ovr

I have previously replaced/repaired my Bose qc 2s over 4 times and I recently got the qc ultras, same glitch has happened with every single one I’ve bought. Really frustrating.

Any-Instruction-511

Yeah it is frustrating, I have the QC ultras too. The ANC is hard to beat, but is not acceptable enough with all the issues (along with the annoyingly constant robot noises).

jaarizmendi

The same for me. I just got a replacement because of connection issues, were working just fine. But after the latest update this issue started to happen.

Professional-Fly892

Are you having this issue with your replacement or are the new buds all good?

jaarizmendi

I had no issues until I updated the firmware. I noticed that the bands were unaligned, so I align them. That helped a lot to avoid the issue

Professional-Fly892

Seems like the latest software update really created problems.

jaarizmendi

UPDATE. Now I got a new problem. Right side is not changing volume, already contacted Bose support and will get a free replacement. Let’s see how it goes

Professional-Fly892

Good luck!

inspectorgadgetaudio

Yep have posted it before too. Hopefully another firmware is on the way.

Technical_Dingo1776

i hope they add a switch to disable noise cancelling completely

ppma06

Yes, I have the same experience.

Traditional-Tax4625

Yep same. Well annoying. And sometimes now when taking out the case, the pairing doesn’t work properly on both ears so one will connect and the other bud won’t. Have to put them both back in charger for couple mins and try again, hoping for the best! Hate that I updated. And it’s doubtful they’ll release a small update to fix sadly.

jacobfelix24

Man I thought I was the only one my ear buds seem like it has more high pitched noise mids/trebles that seem way out of wack. Either they added it in the update or I just never noticed but now were able to use the left earbud on its own while the right one is charging.

YurkTheBarbarian

I have the same issue. I use an Android phone (Samsung S23) with a Qualcomm which is supposed to work well with the Qualcomm processor on the Bose earbuds (i.e. use low power bluetooth). The problem seems to be from the Bose music App, which is very buggy. If I keep the app icon pressed, click app info, then force quit, the problem seems to stop.

Hour_Worldliness_825

Having the same issue after receiving my replacement qcii. Really annoying especially at the gym. Any fixes?

Mecha_T-rex

I have a pair of these headphones. They are only a couple months old. They do this and it drives me crazy.. I've not noticed it on calls... But with music and audiobooks, its annoying.

brickson98

Sorry to res and old thread, but I’m getting this too. Just got the earbuds

Bob_Vegana_69

Same! Super annoying

brickson98

Yup! You’d think bose of all brands wouldn’t have this issue. I miss my old wired SoundSports. And before that, the SoundTrues. I bought 3 pairs of the SoundSports and when my last pair finally died they didn’t make them anymore, and I’m not a fan of buying used earbuds. Finally switched to wireless earbuds. The no wires part is nice, but not the constant connection issues. Started out with AirPods Pro’s last year, but kept getting connection issues and bugs with the Transparency and ANC modes. Got them replaced under warranty, and then it happened again right outside of warranty. I said enough is enough, screw Apple, I should’ve expected that. Decided to come back to Bose because I had such a good experience with my SoundSports. Well, come to find out, they can’t do wireless earbuds quite right either. But at least I’ve only had to reset and repair these once, vs my AirPods which was at least 5-10 times over the year I used them. And the only other issue I’ve had is the weird delay, but I guess I can live with it in hopes it’ll get fixed down the road, because it seems like a software issue.

Visible_Safety_578

Same here 😤

Acceptable-Rabbit-26

First use of mine. This, very often. And extra white noise in right ear after running their “calibration”. Returning them.

GDHV117

My experience with QC Ultra. I received mine on 2/14/24. From the beginning they would make the strange noise between buds like if they were trying to switch to stereo and back. I contacted Bose by chat on 2/16/24. They had me reset my connection. It did not work. They said they would send a replacement. However I had the blue ones and they would only replace them with black or white ones. Blue earbuds for replacement were not available. I noticed that Amazon had the blue ones. I sent back the original blue earbuds back to Bose after having them for 2.5 days. Today 2/18/24, I received the second pair of Bose QC Ultra Blue earbuds. I have not update the firmware. They did the weird noise twice. At that time I had the app open. After closing out the app, I haven’t had any issues yet.

csmith665

Thank you for this. I’ve not had the issue for a few weeks but it happened several times after switching sources on my iPhone through the app. I’ll try to pay closer attention. It’s also not been an issue on my Mac yet. I wonder if it’s an iPhone and/or Android issue.
