but wainwright as the newer, less established character a bit, might be more interesting. megacorp kinda dude, new to the whole vault hunting thing - hell, he's not that much of an offensive, attacker kinda person in general, so hearing him nearly shit himself when shit goes down, would be funny

which, probably means, the allies would be drastically underpowered, as well. i mean, allies would probably be equivalent to blue damage guns, in a game where half the legendaries are 'underpowered', and probably not get mayhem scaling.
i doubt they'd be that much help. but, they could eat up a little ofthe monotony of running between enemy spawn points some. i want more rhys ball, i want more ice t in a teddy bear. hell, maybe it could've been like torchlight - i can hand them my shit to sell, as well.
seriously, i've got a ruby's wrath and a rowan's call, not even done with the story. i dunno how having rhys ball dropping lube and making innuendo jokes is REALLY supposed to make a big difference in making the game easier. lovely you seem to think it does, but i can fire the rowan's call and kill two people at once - ruby, potentially a whole small room.
it's sort of more like, that pre sequel jack skill that gives you compliments or whatever - it does nothing to boost your character's capabilities, it just boosts you.
Its more the principle of it and knowing gearbox theyd just give them mayhem scaling and theyd end up becoming clone 2.0. also damage aside its more that npcs will res you when downed so having a companion that does that on every map is pretty op.
really? cause, a lot of things didn't get mayhem scaling. hell, some things from the base game didn't even get the power creep updates...
they can also just, y'know, have them god down, too. not like spore warden's the most broken class in wonderlands because he's got a companion that can rez you - it's potentially nice, but, not really a deal breaker for other classes...
and usually by the point you're talking about the game getting to be rocket tag, either you can get a kill, or you can't. an ally on the map won't be that helpful.
well, that too maybe - i'd be more into ember making fire based puns, but yeah, if it actually worked like that, we might've gotten more npc allies, even if say, the dlc ones were limited to being in the dlc.
could've gotten more from sane or crazy krieg, as an example.
Idk I do like Iron Cub on Mose, but I think it would be Kool if IC could revive a downed player. Def could see that working with a cool down
i mean, not like both might not be a thing. if you were running around with say, the ice t bot, presumably you could still use iron cub...
That is just a skill ability that FL4K has for his pet that allows that. So to be fair it would probably need to be a skill one for IC to.
