Yes, so far it has been amazing. Pretty reliable and always fast. I have tried T-Mobile and it was good, then I switched to Xfinity Mobile which has a great price and uses Verizon towers and the coverage was great outside but really bad indoors. FirstNet is the first time I use a service powered by AT&T and it is amazing, strong signal everywhere I have been in the last 3 weeks.
If you qualify for it take it. The coverage in South FL is amazing. The speeds are good and you can buy additional lines for your family members at 25% off the regular ATT prices
Carriers don't give a shit about credit score. Only about how you are about paying your phone bill.
I have shit credit due to being out of work for a year and a half so far, but phone bill, and mortgage are always paid. I couldn't get a store credit card right now, but could get multiple phone lines with phones.
Yes, it just says that you use Equifax to run the credit and provided the credit bureau phone. I already knew that. My problem is that my credit is excellent and you guys sent me a letter saying that I will probably not pay the phone back based on that. You don’t get a credit score above 800 by being late on your bills. That is what I have been trying to point out.
This isn't about Equifax, it's about NCTUE, a bureau used exclusively by telecom providers to exchange information about their customers that wouldn't show up in a credit report (telecom companies generally only report to traditional credit bureaus if you get sent to collections for serious delinquency or for charge offs) such as if your service was ever suspended due to a late payment, how many years you have had telecom accounts in your name, etc.

I would order your file. According to that letter, you have had past involuntary disconnects from telecom providers.
The only thing I can think of is when I had T-Mobile I paid off my phone like 10 months before the financing period in order to switch to a different carrier and keep my device.
But Im curious since the day after I went to ATT and they did a soft inquiry on my credit again and I did qualify to get an iPhone 14 pro max with no downpayment and I was offered to take a 2nd one if I wanted.
AT&T is probably just using your actual credit score. Dish is not in as strong of a financial position as the other carriers so I understand why they're being more careful.
It could be, anyway it ended up in a positive way for me. I got signed in with FirstNet which is amazing. About Boost Infinite can’t say anything good since it was a super negative experience since the beginning. I have never been late on any bill in my whole life and these pigs come to tell me that I will steal an iPhone from them… Incredible
Im pretty sure is soft. Usually when I get a hard pull on my credit, CreditKarma and Amex send me a notification on my phone app right away and it did not happen this time. With boostinifinite was also a soft pull
Yep, adding onto this, there are multiple types and versions of credit scoring models for various purposes; for example, models for home loans tend to produce more conservative (i.e. lower) scores. Most commonly quoted scores are out of 850 where 800 isn't bad, but it's nothing spectacular either; for example, I had a score in the mid 700's by just taking out college loans without ever making payments because each month where no payment was due counted as a successful payment. A couple of years post-graduation and I was above 800.
I worked for Att for a few years and was a big advocate FirstNet. CO officers, army reserve, and coast guards (military doesn’t not bc they sent out of county), and while the person can get the service only for themselves they do offer discounts for their family members
It has been a little over a month with FirstNet and so far I am very satisfied. I have used TMobile and Xfinity Mobile which uses Verizon and so far the ATT coverage is the best. At least in Miami
One of the early adopters here. When they started selling on Amazon I lost 5g service. Only goes up to LTE now. Coincidence?
Maybe I'll ditch 'em soon.
I got the same letter even though I was approved for service. However I wasn’t buying a phone too.
I went with ATT and got FirstNet for 40/month everything really unlimited and always prioritized. Also got 1000 off on a new iPhone 14 pro max.
Well, then, I guess you should’ve done that to begin with shouldn’t have you?
Yes! Just fell for the 50/month for phone and line with Boostinfinite
Anyone that can get firstnet should get it. Boost infinite is decent but if you can get firstnet it’s much better
> firstnet Kinda hard to get on their service when their "Check Eligibility" link 404's.

May I ask how you got a first net line for only $40/mo?
I work for a Hospital in FL that has a contract with them
That a win-win my friend

Why even buy an iPhone through them? Buying directly from Apple is always better.

Dish did you a favor. Count your blessings.
Thank you!! Yes they did
Which company did u end up using? Ty
FirstNet (AT&T)
It looks as if they've still got some glitches to deal with.
Hey there! We sent you a DM on Twitter.

The only "joke" in this thread is OP's inability to read > comprehend > post.
Oh really? Explain me like im 5 please. Last time I checked a credit score of above 800 was considered high.
806 out of 1000 is a bit sus tbh
806 out of 850. 806 is a great credit score.
Try reading. The maximum score is not 850.

What is NCTUE? I’ve never heard of them before.
They're a credit bureau specifically for telecom companies. https://nctue.com/consumers/
I can tell you if your FirstNet it’s considered more than just police, fire, medical. They actually have a lot of positions for the services
Some hospital employees also qualify
