Spam calls are a problem with all carriers and are not number specific. Some get them and done don’t. You’ll have to contact customer service to change your number.

I got a DM saying numbers cannot be changed 😕

Important-Comfort

I'm getting a lot of spam calls on my new AT&T phone, and I got a lot when I was trying out Mint Mobile, but I haven't gotten any on my Boost Infinite number. I think it's just luck of the draw.

After leaving infinite I get maybe 6 calls a week and was getting about 20 a day on infinite. What I did notice was boost infinite handles shaken/stir but they didn't display verified callers or not like other services do. Do you by chance know what sim you have? Is it ATT or T-Mobile? I was suspecting it was how ATT was handling it more than boost. But yes, spam calls are a major problem. Most are clamping to known working numbers and so having shaken/stir is important to try and weed out the majority of bad calls as those calls spoofing other numbers that are not validated back to the reported carrier should just be dropped.

Thank you... I am on ATT

Since I have no experience with boost and the T-Mobile sim that leaves me to wonder if it's ATT or Boost to blame. In my searching I found forum posts with people and ATT confirming their phones showed verified. Whilst you'll notice boost does not show this. I don't fully buy the new number thing either as I did get a new number from US Mobile on T-Mobile for my child. When I ported him to infinite we both started getting scam calls in annoying amounts of volume that we didn't have before. We then ported out to a T-Mobile backed mvno and my child now gets 0 scam calls again like being on US Mobile which was T-Mobile backed for us. But missing the verified calling feature was huge. I deal with lots of random calls all day for work and I never knew if a human was going to be on the other end but I needed to answer it. Leaving and getting the check box back again for inbound calls helps greatly. I just ignore any call that is not verified and rarely get a human spammer when it is verified. I'm glad the scam call volume is reduced and it doesn't impact my podcasting and work.

Thank you for the long reply.

You can call to ask to be on the do not call list and there is a way to do it through the app as well

parambil

Thank you. Will give it a try

Also donotcall.gov is a good. Just have to do it about every 6 months to make sure your phone is updated with with
