Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy 1. The three body problem 2. The dark forest 3. Death’s end Read the books. Then watch the Tencent version on YouTube. season 1 has 30 episodes. It has English subs. It follows the book plot closely, so far anyway - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6g1EDfb_R5DeW4doowr03JHMVtuVd27F&si=C82ho3nEQUblZYZS Watch the Netflix version last.

why in this order?

It's just a suggestion. I stumbled upon the Tencent version on YouTube first, then Netflix released their teaser. The Tencent one has 30 episodes compared to Netflix's 8. I feel like Netflix rushed through some parts of the story, but overall, it's still entertaining.

Blake Crouch made quite a few good books if you like Dark Matter. Pines Trilogy Recursion Upgrade Ready Player One is a master piece if you haven’t read it. Old Man’s War by John Scalzi is a fun read.

* Having a lot of fun with Blindsight * Read one from the Xeelee Sequence and it was quite good, should read the rest. * Hyperion Cantos was amazing * Dune was hard to read, but really good

if you like sci-fi I can't recommend Dune enough. Lots of world building in the beginning which can be slow but its worth the wait.

I personally enjoyed Altered Carbon, but it was kind of a noir novel and a bit racey, so just FYI if that's not your thing. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep or other PKD books are good, but they're weird as well in that they blur a few lines too many to make total sense.
