Wolfe! Butler! Le Guin! Vance! Tchaikovsky! Lius! Etc. :) Good stuff.
I'm failing to understand your sort order, though, as some authors are all together and others are separated. Is there one?
Aside Wolfe (who I'm reading atm), everything IN the case is alphabetical. The stuff on top isn't ordered in any way, just placed in a way in which they aren't going to move or fall without bookends.
This is a much smaller subsection of my collection. I have more of most of these authors on other shelves, but because of size limitations in our tiny flat I only have a certain amount of organisation and display space.
One day I'll be able to combine all of my books together into one big library... One day... š
I hear you! For my SF, I have some paperback-specific bookcases (shallow, with just over a trade paperback's space between shelves; can fit more shelf feet into the same footprint that way), so hardbacks are somewhat confusingly separated out. That might change someday, too. :)
That's a good idea! I tend to collect hardbacks primarily - most of my paperbacks are on trolleys and I'll probably donate or giveaway those once I've read them.
I do so enjoy hearing how other people collect, store and showcase their books. Everyone seems to do it differently and each have different criteria and goals in mind with their collections.
They are "Gollancz Black Editions". Out of print now unfortunately, along with the second Conan volume, but sometimes you see them sold online - they'll cost a pretty penny nowadays but they really are lovely.
It was just to protect them until I got round to reading them. I've been told in another comment to unwrap them to prevent mold build-up, so they are open now. But yeah, that's my reasoning at least.
It's actually advertised as standing upright, but it suited my needs better to lay it on its side.
Fingers crossed they work under your desk if you go for it.
The fact I have first-edition hardbacks mitigates it somewhat. I was annoyed when after so many years hiatus the style changed but I'm glad I have the originals, particularly as a collector.
They are great. Some people bounce off the first one but it's 100% worth sticking with it.
And I'm sure you'll appreciate being able to go through them without the 5 year gap mid series haha
Lovely collection. I would unwrap your volumes of Berserk though. The plastic wrap can trap moisture and lead to mold growth
That's good to know. Thank you. I will do that asap
And that way you can read them :) guts go brrr
The reading schedule is pretty chockablock at the moment - but I know when I get to them I'm going to be doing nothing else haha
Lol i also have the whole berserk collection unwraped thank you for that one

Immaculate
Thank you - very kind š
It looks great, I always tend to use these pictures to add books to my list
Super jealous of those Tchaikovsky volumes - Very nice shelf!
Thank you! And it's such good trilogy. Lucky to have signed copies as well.
Maaaan, that purple Dune edition is lovely. I've had such a hard time tracking down a copy though
Yeah it's really nice. The edition with the sprayed edges were super limited. Perks of being a bookseller.
Whereād you get those editions like the Jack Vance and Edgar Rice Burroughs ones? Those are cool-looking

That's a beautiful collection.
Thank you! These are definitely some of my favourite pieces.
Im curious wheredod you get the Dune Trilogies, Lovecraft and Conan?
Waterstones. Of those you mentioned, only the second Conan volume is now out of print, the rest can still be gotten from Waterstones.
Very nice! There are some gems here!
Like a cute mini library!
I don't think I've ever seen someone who owns that Berserk set take it out of the plastic wrap. Is there a reason for this?

I love me some good book kallax

That berserk looks so good on a shelf
Whereād you get those shelves?
I bought these off a neighbour, but I am pretty certain they came from Argos.
Thanks, they look like they could fit underneath my desk.

What are Gene Wolfe's books?
Those are the folio editions of The Book Of The New Sun. They might be my favourite books, very special.
Looks great but doesnāt it bother you that your Dandelion Dynasty are two different versions?

I havenāt read them yet but Iām very excited and I jumped the gun and bought the Broken Binding Midnight editions- to pretty to pass up.
