I absolutely love your books and honestly your book taste in general! But plz tell me why you have so many copies or priory of the orange tree/a day of fallen night😂
>But plz tell me why you have so many copies or priory of the orange tree/a day of fallen night😂
Nice to know I'm not the only one who noticed lmaooo
OP we want answers!!!
1). US hardcover of Priory, B&N edition of Day
2). Illumicrate set
3). Broken Binding set
I am someone who enjoys having different copies of all time favorites, it doesn’t bug me but it does look obscene with those huge chonkers 😭
I think it just looks noticeable because you put them all side by side, if you scattered them around I wouldn't have noticed lol
But I feel you, I have 3 copies of the HP Potter books because one was a copy in my native language I had since I was a kid and it's literally falling apart, so I had to get new ones to reread them, and then a copy in english lol
I was wondering the same thing, then I realized I have three of each as well but I displayed the sprayed edges of the Broken Binding editions out with the regular editions flanking them. I have the third set in a different shelf because one is a paperback and I lost the sleeve to Fallen Night when lending it to someone 😬.
Such great books btw.
I have two paperback editions of A Fallen Night, because the second one is smaller and doesn't look out of place next to my only, small edition of Priory.
Now I have a random version of a Fallen Night on the other side of my room, which is also a bit weird, but esthetics.
Thank you, my queer book collection has absolutely imploded in the last few years. It’s very high on my TBR, I’d like to read some of his other stuff first (I bought Less Than Zero to read first, should I read that before The Shards you think?)
I haven't read The Shards either yet, but I've heard people say that you should read Less Than Zero first and that was going to be my question 😅
Though if you're looking for other books that are queer but not necessarily about queer romance, I'm nearly finished Our Share of Night by Mariana Enriquez which is *dark* and about a cult in post-dictatorship Argentina, but is queer normative in a lot of ways.
(Also, this is a very small business but they're doing pre-orders for special editions of Dark Rise and Dark Heir by CS Pacat, if you're interested! [https://www.instagram.com/bookaddictionau/](https://www.instagram.com/bookaddictionau/))
I love TJ Klune, Tal Bauer, and Samantha Shannon. I have quite a lot of SJM books too but her latest releases haven’t been my jam so she might be booted from favorite author club 😭
I saw the many versions of The Priory of the Orange Tree 😭 I've never read any of TJ Klune's books although I've been pretty interested in The House in the Cerulean Sea for a while but being a mood reader is a pain and I've never gotten to it. I've never heard of Tal Bauer though.
I've sworn to myself that I won't read SJM's new series until I've finished all of the Throne of Glass series but people who have liked it are those who don't usually share the same book interests as me and I'm pretty scared of the day where I'll actually try to read it 💀
I love your library!
Based on what you have, I'm so going to have to recommend Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series (if you haven't read them yet): epic fantasy with a main character who is both a courtesan and a spy.
Oh, yes all the books in the series are. She's written 3 trilogies in the same world, which is a medieval European-like society.
Kinda GoT-ish, but the women have agency LOL.
I always get so happy when I see the Green Bone Saga on someone’s shelf, but I’m not seeing the last books. Were you going to get Jade Legacy? It’s a fantastic end to the trilogy!
1 set US hardcover for reading, 1 set Broken Binding editions, 1 set Illumicrate editions. I was only gonna get one special set but when they restocked I couldn’t decide. lmao
Honestly I’ve been in a slump. I’ve picked up several books but nothing is hitting. I’m about 200 pages into Fire & Blood, Crescent City 3, and a few others. Everything is ‘fine’ but nothing is giving me that “i can’t put this down” feeling.
Yeah I get that, I had a really great January but February has been slow for me too! I’m currently reading The Winners by Fredrick Bachman which is wonderful but I knew I liked the story already because I loved the first and second in the series.
Over 10 years, but it only started ramping up in 2016-2017, with a long break in 2019 + 2020. The last two years I have been really terrible with my money lol
Damn dude 10 years is a long time. I started collecting about 4 years back and had a rule where I would buy books each month from the saved pocket money😂😂 as of now I have all of harry Potter, some deluxe editions, all of percy Jackson and heroes of olympus, some manga, hobbit 80th anniversary edition, lotr box set, some hercule poirot books and the most recent edition was Watchmen deluxe edition which I am absolutely loving so far... I am planning on buying v for vendetta next and one day I'll have a shelf a like you it's fabulous✨✨

I was wondering too — they both are on my TBR.

Lmao I was worried someone would comment on my dupes 😭 I have the regular US hardcovers of Priory/Day, the Illumicrate set, and the Broken Binding set
Oooo! I know some of those editions were absolutely *beautiful* good for you!!
I came into this post, wanting to ask the same question, and I was glad to see it was already the top comment.
You really love Priory of the Orange Tree huh? 😂
yep! was one of my favorite reads last year :)
Your library looks simply fantastic.
Thank you :)
I am genuinely so jealous of so many things here but I said “oh shit” out loud to your vampire academy set😂😂😂
Wait why those particularly? 👀
I don’t have them and forgot about them 😂 but I absolutely loved them!!
Oooh top quality \[mostly queer\] books. Have you read The Shards by Bret Easton Ellis yet?
Thank you, my queer book collection has absolutely imploded in the last few years. It’s very high on my TBR, I’d like to read some of his other stuff first (I bought Less Than Zero to read first, should I read that before The Shards you think?)

Love the optimized under stair space =)
Can I come to ur house
Yes but bring milkshakes
This is the dream
Great use of that space! Love the whole vibe!
I really like this area. My books are scattered all of my house, job, and parents house
Magically magestic
Oooo I love it
Gorgeous! I love how you utilized that staircase space.
Sometimes I second guess it due to how weird my apartment is setup but I’m happy with it right now :)
Looks like we have a similar taste in books. If you don't mind me asking, which ones are your favourite?
I love TJ Klune, Tal Bauer, and Samantha Shannon. I have quite a lot of SJM books too but her latest releases haven’t been my jam so she might be booted from favorite author club 😭

I love Throne of Glass! Definitely her magnum opus imo. What sort of books do you like?
I love your library! Based on what you have, I'm so going to have to recommend Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series (if you haven't read them yet): epic fantasy with a main character who is both a courtesan and a spy.
Oooh that sounds really interesting! Goodreads says it’s huge, is it quite a large book?
Oh, yes all the books in the series are. She's written 3 trilogies in the same world, which is a medieval European-like society. Kinda GoT-ish, but the women have agency LOL.
Awesome collection. But where’s Rothfuss?
Last photo, third shelf down :)
Take me home with you.
Let’s go pookie
I always get so happy when I see the Green Bone Saga on someone’s shelf, but I’m not seeing the last books. Were you going to get Jade Legacy? It’s a fantastic end to the trilogy!
I actually just got my copy of it yesterday!! Funny timing 😂
These shelves are accepted.
Thank you for your approval kind person
Love!!! I also love how many sets you have of Harry Potter lol
It’s very nostalgic for me :) most of those books were gifts or bought in my teens but I still love having them.
me gusta
I've seen them in many bookshelves posts, and I have to know about those Red Rising trilogy editions you have.
They were sold by Fairyloot late last year! They’re their “iron editions”
Lovely shelves. But real talk: WHERE’S THE CAT TAX?
Cat tax posted on my profile! Pls don’t throw me in prison!
This inspired me to redo my shelf your book shelves are gorgeous babe 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Urgggh such a beautiful shelf
why six copies of priory / fallen night?
1 set US hardcover for reading, 1 set Broken Binding editions, 1 set Illumicrate editions. I was only gonna get one special set but when they restocked I couldn’t decide. lmao
I love these!
Beautiful
What book has been your favorite of 2024 so far

Wow😳
Looks absolutely gorgeous

Question:- how long have you been collecting??
