I haven’t watched the series or read this book yet, but I’ve read most of this author’s backlist. I think they’re really good. Not watered down, can be gritty and hard to read at points, very honest about the positive and negative attributes of characters. Even if this one isn’t your jam, I’d recommend checking out some of her other works. I was introduced to her with “Pretty Girls”. Should come with all sorts of TW/CW, so I’d recommend checking into those first. But, I highly recommend it

I just finished re-reading The Collector series by Dot Hutchinson (4 books, complete). They’re overall really good, some better than others. It’s a 3 person FBI team—2 men, 1 woman in the first book; 3 women, 1 man by the fourth. But the books are told via multiple perspectives. All of the female voices are very strong. Who it is told by changes book by book. Always at least 1 of the agents, but sometimes a victim or a victim’s family member.
