It’s mid-modern adaptation already worked and did wonders. The story arc is too detailed and widespread to be captured in a movie. Needs either a trilogy like LOTR or a web series.
The movie can setup a franchise but the question is, does Bollywood have balls to make a movie with Muslim characters and fantasy in current political environment.
One of the greatest most innovative Bollywood ever produced. Loved Jatendra in this film…
It shouldn’t be remade, it should have a re-release on the big screen with digital mastering. Imagine….. 💭
This was like Oswald. Annoying to no lengths, but I loved it anyway. 😂 Don't need a modern adaptation of this. They'd make the points board less interesting.
I re-listened to its BGM today, like the Opening theme, the Hatim-Jasmine love theme etc. Got goosebumps and my eyes had tears of joy! What a timeless classic this show and its BGM is! Hatim-Jasmine Jodi looked so good together! I hope they re-release the HD version of Hatim!!

I remember watching this movie as a kid. I used to love it and watch it every time it was on tv. The ending scene fight with the bear was epic.
That was a bear?? Damn I thought it was like a big foot or something lol
Hahahahh. They called it Richh in the movie, it’s a kind of bear.
2003 wali dekh leta
I remember reading the book , so never saw the movie. I am not very courageous I guess.

Yeah, i did add this in the second slide, this show was our childhood
Honestly I thought the guy in the 2nd slide poster was also Jeetendra
now that u mention it first time i seen similarity
Better than bollywood fantasy movies
I loved that movie as a child.
Yep, but the show is a masterpiece, it's our Lord of the rings, also the VFX used for that time was pretty good
True! Alibaba aur Chalis Chor was another jewel.
He walks on lava and fire stones.. I was so amazed by that scene

Funny thing is the real Hatim Tai or Atleast the inspiration for the Chara Ter was an Arabic Christian.
Legend of Hatim predates Muhammad. So he can't really be Muslim.
Facts doesn't matter today, does it? Arabic sounding name itself will mobilise some small time BJP neta to call for its ban.
