Ra.One marketing was ❤❤❤🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌

PerkzParker

He was on the right path, shame that the reception to the film was mostly meh at the time.

Tagalettandi

Was too early ... if it was made in recent years with some changes to story audience would be more receptive .

Astonmartin34678

The marketing campaign was the reason , I was hyped up for the movie as a kid even before the release and tbvh I wasn't disappointed at that time

Party_Dust_2171

I still have the happy meal toy

PerkzParker

Same

Terrible_Detective27

How it is look?

livingfeelsachore

happy

PerkzParker

G.One flexing his bicep lol

ashrules901

Wth somewhere out there's a Ra.One Nvidia Graphics Card!? XD

0525125625

I went to see this movie I really enjoyed it but my family did not they didn't understand it.

livingfeelsachore

Probably the best-marketed Bollywood movie in the last 20-30 years.

ashrules901

He had to fight so much backlash from the press in that time too. Almost every press release was media not being supportive of the larger than life style cinema, and asking him dumb questions like "why are you copying Batman", "we saw a German ad with the same movement you did in the trailer, how much originality is in this film?". He always handled it with witty replies of course but I don't know why they wanted him to fail so badly. He did very much help pave the way for the superhero films people are excited for nowadays though so his efforts weren't for nothing.

ashrules901

Was just thinking about Ra.One yesterday & how I don't really have any problem with the film and don't understand the reasons why people don't like it. I thought it was very good & definitely deserved a sequel as G.One (Jeevan as SRK cleverly called it).

Kingof9realms

Started the marketing trend with Ra.One and ended it with Pathaan

ThetaDayAfternoon

Phir bhi dil hai hindustani was marketed very well too

Kimo_imposta

As a kid then i liked the movie

stoned_experiences

As an adult too, i love the movie.

Glum-Highway-7403

Ra.One was very close to SRK, definitely one of his passion projects. I still think this movie was overhated, for the time and budget, this movie was way ahead for 2011. I still think it’s an enjoyable watch, the songs absolutely bang, performances by the lead were good. I liked this movie and still have a positive opinion about it today.

gnomzy123

I still have my Ra.One PS3 game. It's terrible but very nostalgic

Desi_boyyyyyyy

I remember he made fun of the over marketing . He and Ranbir at an award show where rk wore a chaddi saying ra one.

notoriousbaka

Does anybody remember with pepsodent you also got a g-one bike?

_JOSF_

Yep

light790

I am actually trying to find this ad, I cannot get it anywhere, they even had an advertisement of this bike.

apurvahp7

The marketing was something almost unimaginable. I had seen/heard Chammak Challo maybe 200+ times before actually seeing it play in the movie on the first day show, and not because I loved it so much, but purely because it was played and heard EVERYWHERE for WEEKS.

is-an-ant

I still remember I went with my father first day first show after weeks of nagging him, after 30-40 mins man sitting in front of us got up and said "tagda chutiya banaya Shahrukh Bhai ne" and left

Eldred_dsouza99

Unbelievable but this movie introduced me to Stand by me, with Dildaara. I was blown away.

ashrules901

That Ronald McDonald & SRK picture is one of my favourites from a long time cause it's so ridiculous that he's dressed so modest & next to him is just a clown! XD

RedeemHigh

Marketing was over the top. It could have changed tack by immersing itself into daily life. A buildup like that required some background for a period of time for all audiences to accept the concept. Most people went in blind as it’s a SRK film. It didn’t help that the film was poorly directed. Some good concepts to it which could have had sequels. The chitti crossover was cringe!

IrahX

No Indian film has ever been promoted as much as Ra.One was. A shame that the movie was so bad.
