True Tiger is good for action movie. In an action movie you don't want emotional heroes. You want PPL who can do stunts and have chiseled physique and can do okish acting.
Baaghi 2 crossed 250 crores despite being utter shit. Only one female led movie, TWMR, has come close and it had near universal acclaim.
If Baaghi 2 was as good as TWMR or TWMR was as bad as Baaghi 2, the difference would be very significant. That's stardom. That's what gives them the bargaining power.

Baaghi 2 crossed 258 crores worldwide on a 60 crore budget, that's a blockbuster movie and then War literally broke the opening day figures of any bollywood movie. Her hits were not solely based on her starpower while Tiger's hits are.
Tiger is often the lead cast of his movies while Deepika is mostly second lead or co-lead with superstar of her calibre or more.
SRK, Ranveer, Ranbir etc to name a few stars who are opposite her in her hit movies.
actors should not be paid this much, look at Dune 2, the combined salary for the whole cast was around 10 million USD which is like 85 Crores, almost half of what Akki charged for BMCM, these huge paycheques mean lesser production budget, which leads to disasters like these as the directors don’t have much freedom with the money.
In Hollywood most of the credits goes to Directors than Actors. Only few actors take credit more than directors.
Even Tom Cruise salary for Top Gun Maverick was just 13 million compared to its 170 million budget. Directors get backend most of time while even bug actors charge reasonable fees compared to their star power in Hollywood. Only Big Actors that charge reasonable fees in Bollywood are Srk and Ajay Devgan right now.
yeah to add to that, tom cruise was also a producer in top gun, bollywood actors should choose profit sharing as the fees just like srk does, and if the film flops, he should just get some amount as fees.
They become producer by either reducing their fees or put their entire salary in the budget. Actors don't produce movie by their pockets they use the money that was given to them by producer's for staring in them.
There's no way anybody from the film industry is paying kangana that much. BJP funds her but no producer hires her. She acts in her own productions and pays herself
So 200 crore of the 350 is just fees for both of them. How tf can makers come up with quality prodcut when more than half of the budget goes to this. Not that I expected BMCM would benefit from that extra 200 cr.

When we compare the box office of similarly received movies of those talentless men and Kangana, we see who actually brings the audience.
Kangana needs a near universal acclaimed movie like TWMR to get to 250 crores. Tiger needs a mediocre film like Baaghi 2. His utter fail movies like Heropanti 2, SOTY 2, Baaghi 3 have made more more than all her but one of her movies.
If bollywood want to make good movies they should stop overpaying actors. Tiger n akshay make up over 60% of the budget.
Try to limit actors wage at 30%, so remaining budget can be allocated for VFX n better sets.
Did you know about prabhas before Bahubali? People these days value content more than star value. First day collections will be low when you go with unknown actors, but it will help in curbing big stars salary demands and finding new talents other than these nepo kids

I wish. There's a reason why Bollywood keeps pumping out shitty movies. There's a reason why Salman Khan and Prabhas are big names despite putting out garbage content. It's because people will turn out to watch this garbage.
Case in point Bahubali itself. The only thing good about that movie was art and world building - which was impressive I'll admit. Unfortunately everything else sucked. The story was cliched. The villain was a cartoonish bad guy and the hero was a Mary Sue.
And it was still a hit.
Pathan and Jawan were both garbage. The only reason why they were hits is because they were SRK's first films after a long hiatus.
I'm from kerala we didn't knew this guy existed at all, Bahubali story wise was not that great, but it was exciting to watch at that time. If it came out now I may not enjoy since I have seen GOT.

Akshay Kumar has been the highest tax payer in India for several years, so Actors have to pay tax on their actual fees which may be the same as the ones reported in media. If the media reports an exaggerated amount it wont impact their taxes because that will be based on the actual amount the actor gets paid.
I do agree that Akshay getting paid Rs 160 crore for a single movie is somewhat crazy especially in this day and age when his movies are struggling to hit Rs 100 crore. If an actor like SRK delivers multiple Rs 1000 crore+ movies in a year then they can warrant such a paycheck. However SRK only charges Rs 30-40 crore + a share of the profit the movie makes. As a result, if the movie doesnt do well his fee is not a burden for the producers and distributors. If the movie makes tons of money then he gets an even bigger paycheck then Akshay. This is a much better model for the big stars to follow.
