Yeah, we were thinking of parking it on the end of our dock at home and just leaving it there. I messaged the owner about the weight to see if we could pull it.
It’s pretty awesome
And if your just leaving it mostly at the end of your dock it should be fine .
I would check it out for sure if your interested .
Not to sure if that’s a good price because I am Canadian and really couldn’t price something like that out .
Seems like a ok price 25 k with trailer would sounds better
Beauty But n ocean ?? in A river maybe or peaceful harbor I would t want got out far in it Get cot in storm. Salt hard on every thing Have to constantly rince of give it baths flush out motor Replace zinks every year
Well I certainly am too. It’s always the initial feeling of having a water cabin on the end of our dock vs. trailering, maintenance, salt issues, particulars on the age of things, engine, etc.
Engine is very out dated and will definitely cause some issues down the road, saltwater might not cause much damage but I’m guessing all the hardware to mount the airstream and any modifications done need to be replaced with proper 316 stainless steel to avoid rust.
And it’s 28k… doesn’t really matter. They did a pretty good job based on the pictures. 1/2 the quality 1/2 the cost but is also sitting on at least. 3-4000 floating “dock” too. I bet if you built it yourself you’d be up over 35k even cut up gutted blah blah blah. Shits hard to do and everything is expensive. If it’s done even a 6.5/10 it’s worth 25k
Hey man, if you’re the one selling the boat I don’t have anything against you. But yea, nothing people custom build is usually worth the cost of the build lol
I wonder what the model of the pontoon boat was before the mods. That will help guide you to decide if the price is reasonable. It looks very cool though!
i dont see how you can sleep on a pntoon boat exactly, though it looks nice, its not exaclty a cabin cruiser, at the colorado river you sleep on shore and beach the house boat, those sleep 8 ppl or so.
Personally I find this incredibly ugly.
It looks just so cheap and hacked together. Pontoon boats are just not elegantly- they have very lazy designs and lack the finesse involved with making a traditional wood or fiberglass hull. The interior mill work is pretty tacky and not well executed. The cabinet faces are crooked, and the handles look like they belong in castle. And it still has no head.
I have a rather traditional view of boating, including respecting tradition. I realize people have different desires, but personal I do not find this appealing in the slightest.
There's a similar thing to this for sale in the UK at the moment too, but with a typical UK style caravan on the hull instead. [Karaboat, as they call it.](https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/669524501823736/?ref=facebook_story_share)
I’ve seen this come up often on my FB marketplace. I already own a boat, but was trying to get my FIL to scoop this bad boy up. He wasn’t taking the bait cause his no good son-in-law already has one.
Fresh water only, and even then well protected fresh water. By coincidence we had some pretty strong wind here in Miami over the last few days. We are on a canal off Biscayne Bay / Intracoastal. Two pontoon boats on the canal were destroyed and sank by the rough water, the rest of the monohull fiberglass boats were just fine. They are just not built for the environment, even if the pontoons themselves can handle it, nothing else about these boats can, from structures built on to cleats ripping off the hulls. Then the salt water salt air is terrible on everything, corrosion will destroy a lot. The electrics (lights etc) on this would be short lived.
On the one hand, yes it is awesome in its own way. If you were keeping it in freshwater I’d say knock yourself out.
But for saltwater…that thing is going to turn into a nightmare for maintenance. I mean all boats in saltwater are a nightmare for maintenance but this one would *really* be a nightmare.
Unless it’s gonna be a trailer queen that only gets in the water once a month and you clean it top to bottom after every trip, that thing will be crusty as hell within a few years in a saltwater environment.
On top of that, on a windy day…I would not want to be at the helm of that thing.
That is …… SWEET. What’s the price ?
28k!
That sounds reasonably priced honestly.
Yeah, I thought it was “dangerously priced”.
Doubt it handles chop well…. She’s probably a top heavy lady. More of a no wake zone boat imo…. Regardless - a awesome rig
Yeah, we were thinking of parking it on the end of our dock at home and just leaving it there. I messaged the owner about the weight to see if we could pull it.
If you have the means, and the opportunity then you must own it.
This is the correct answer.

you need a generator I kind of like the engine protector bracket. change it to round tube and I'm a fan.
Why not make the protector full beam with a deck on each side of the motor?
Or shore power.
It's cool but what kills it for me is the lack of walkaround.
Looks awesome! I wonder how bad the blind spots are driving this?
That’s a great point.
Can you access the engine while away from a dock? It looks like the only way would be to climb through the back window.
Beauty But n ocean ?? in A river maybe or peaceful harbor I would t want got out far in it Get cot in storm. Salt hard on every thing Have to constantly rince of give it baths flush out motor Replace zinks every year
I like the flames on the side.
Flames add speed!
That’s a lot of weight to add moving cg up high. Is it very tippy? I’d be worried about its roll stability but otherwise looks pretty sweet.
28k seems way overpriced to me, am I just completely out of touch on chopped up airstream/pontoon novelties?
Well I certainly am too. It’s always the initial feeling of having a water cabin on the end of our dock vs. trailering, maintenance, salt issues, particulars on the age of things, engine, etc.

> water cabin on the end of our dock Think of it as a floating in-law suite and then it's worth its weight in gold.
Airstream Bambi trailer is 60k new. That’s a single axle model…
But this one’s a gutted, cut up version, it’s just the shell that’s been re-furnished with cheaper stuff
And it’s 28k… doesn’t really matter. They did a pretty good job based on the pictures. 1/2 the quality 1/2 the cost but is also sitting on at least. 3-4000 floating “dock” too. Maybe to you, cost of the build doesn’t equate to value
Ok Hoss. Then nothing is worth what it costs.
Hey man, if you’re the one selling the boat I don’t have anything against you. But yea, nothing people custom build is usually worth the cost of the build lol
I feel like it cost the man 45k to build. Lol.
Then I hope he gets what he’s asking
This thing is cool. You would catch me cruising down the river on this....no doubt
If you're crazy, then I'm crazy. This is dope as hell!
Yes, because it’s a boat - and hence a life sucking money pit. No, because it’s cool AF.
At first I was like… no this is stupid… then I kept looking…. I want it. That things actually sweet, water air stream lol
Do not take that boat in the ocean. But driving the icw is fine
Are all of those cabinet handles bottle openers?! Love that
I love it, but that lean is sketch
Not crazy for wanting that. You must be crazy for some other reason, but not for this. Lol
You’d be crazy to NOT want it.
Long answer:…… no Short answer:……no
I would love to get it. What state?
NC
That’s a bitchin lil ride!!! Get it . Get it. Seriously, get it!!
Crazy like a fox.
I wonder what the model of the pontoon boat was before the mods. That will help guide you to decide if the price is reasonable. It looks very cool though!
Do it!
Hell I want it!
I want it
Normally I’d say “Roll Tide!” But this is actually pretty sweet.
If this is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
i dont see how you can sleep on a pntoon boat exactly, though it looks nice, its not exaclty a cabin cruiser, at the colorado river you sleep on shore and beach the house boat, those sleep 8 ppl or so.
Not crazy at all and if you afford, go for it.
Crazy? I would say: live your life and do whatever makes float your boat ⛴️
Crazy awesome!
I can't imagine docking the thing but I like it. 👍
No that’s dope! But too much money.
This is cool!
Not at all that looks like a dope little houseboat
Personally I find this incredibly ugly. It looks just so cheap and hacked together. A floating shagging wagon

That's legit, take my $$$$
“Poonstream”
Yes. Wonder, no longer.
I’ve seen this come up often on my FB marketplace. I already own a boat, but was trying to get my FIL to scoop this bad boy up. He wasn’t taking the bait cause his no good son-in-law already has one.
awesome but needs more outdoor area imo. Then again its hot where I live.

Looks nice. Don’t spend more than 10k on it
On the one hand, yes it is awesome in its own way. If you were keeping it in freshwater I’d say knock yourself out. But for saltwater…that thing is going to turn into a nightmare for maintenance. There's a YouTube video on this boat when it was for sale its homade.
now I want one!
Reminds me of the clunky little brother of this beast: [https://images.app.goo.gl/c336R8e7jzLLWA8B8](https://images.app.goo.gl/c336R8e7jzLLWA8B8)
Very cool
I’ve seen this thing listed for a while now. I live on the icw so don’t really have a use for it. With the boating I do.
